Go play Mantis or Luna if you want to 1v1 dives
Yup this is how you play him and you should be doing nonstop right click period. Only left click to help seal a kill or when no one needs healing. Let someone else deal with the dive.
Then play DPS a tank? Rocket is a high mobility support character than can do a little dps at range. Rocket's job is to position well, stay very mobile, heal and serve as a force multiplier in critical team fights. If you keep getting eaten up by enemy diver characters that is a YOU problem, not a a problem with Rocket.
Stop complaining that the hammer in your hand does not cut wood while ignoring the saw in the toolbox.
Rocket is a mobile support unit who can defend himself.
Your failure to see this is your fault.
He is not DPS.
Go play DPS if you want to do damage.
Tell this to every ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ person who plays Rivals ever because for some reason every non-rocket player doesn't seem to understand that he does not do damage or get kills unless it's picks
That being said, for Rocket I would like to see his orb do a damage over time along with the heal. I think that would make him more helpful in larger team fights.
Hes super hard to catch unless the enemy after you also has tons of mobility.
not to mention a small target.
