Overwatch 2 Peak Player Count: 75,608
I think we know which is the superior hero shooter.
Lets not forget Marvel Rivals has not even been out a full month yet.
Cry me a river too
It's impressive considering how fast casuals move on these days, most games lose like 70-80% of their player base in this time frame and then the remaining players stabilize and then become the core community. I don't think I have ever seen a game with as good of a player retention rate as this one in my 10+ years of reading steam charts.
Also, citing " bad balance " as one of your arguments isn't a good look. It would imply that you think you are good at the game, or at the very least it would imply that you have a solid understanding of the game with your measly 6.7 hours played according to your profile. (Most of that probably being idle, bot games, or just you trying out hero abilities in shooting range most likely)
Most of the player base is still bad at the game to the point where it doesn't actually impact the fun factor of the players yet. (aside from the loud over opinionated vocal minority complaining about hawkeye, hela, and so)
That's like complaining about a new fighting game having bad balance at launch (its a 1v1 genre so dealing with strong characters is a lot more personal than if you were playing a team game if you get what I mean, it's the perfect example)
But in reality, 90+% of the people are just enjoying the first 2 weeks of that fighting game launch with balance being the last thing on their mind. In conclusion, the balance of a new game is not going to make a game bleed players as much as you think it does.
And to be fair to Overwatch 2, the player numbers on that game are also better than people give it credit for, especially given all of its controversies. Overwatch 2 is NOT dead.
>never played the game once
>has opinions
😂
exactly this. you hit the nail in the head. some people are IRL gollums.
Anyways OP sounds like the kind of guy that kisses his dad on the mouth. Just an observation.
