Once you are in a match there should be no switching hero's once you pick your hero. This is a bad decision to allow it imo. You made you choice deal with it.

You know, when I pick Venom or Bucky first at the start of a match, and my stupid team doesn't pick any healers, the first thing I do after death is pick Loki or Raccoon.

In high rated games, the availability to switch can significantly spice up the match up. Giving an extra complicity that can turn the tide of the match. Makes watching tournament / e-sport live streams and events more engaging to watch.

Imagine its overtime and one of your teammate is doing god's work on the point and some of your team swaps to more mobile chars to rush back to point fast as possible to back them up.

Also capture points maps have 3 different maps which favour different chars, so having the flexibility to switch is nice.

That's garbage gameplay it just means you're swapping constantly to counter someone's counter. Hero Shooters are trash for sure.
