Playtesting Demo Now Live — Request Your Key

Hello Drones,

The NODE playtest demo is now live, and you might be one of the few to receive access. This isn’t a public test (yet), but we’re quietly rolling out Steam keys to players interested in stepping into Toska before anyone else.

This early version of NODE is still in development. You may encounter glitches, incomplete polish, and interfaces that need refinement, and that’s exactly why we need you. Your feedback will help us shape the game into its final form.

Is this a public demo?
Not yet. This is a closed playtest with limited access. We’ll announce more plans soon.

Can I stream or post about the game?

Will this be the same as the final game?
The core experience will stay the same, but we’ll be making improvements based on your feedback.

⚙️ NODE Demo Update – Sharper, Smoother, Smarter

It’s been a few months since NODE’s first demo release. Since then, we’ve been quietly working, tweaking, testing, and tuning. Now that NODE is entering its polishing phase, it’s time to update the demo to better reflect where the game currently stands.

The demo is temporarily unavailable on Steam while we roll out this updated version. We know some of you were hoping to try it or revisit it sooner, and we appreciate your patience. It’ll be back, better than ever.

🧠 Save Progress That Carries Over

The biggest change? You can now carry your save file from the demo into the full game. Whether you like playing in long sessions or short bursts, NODE will meet you where you are. Start now, pick up later, your progress stays with you.

🖼️ Visual Upgrades You Can Feel

Every level in NODE was crafted with the story in mind. This update brings the earlier sections up to the visual fidelity of the rest. Atmosphere, lighting, and detail now better match the game’s tone. And yes, we’ve been squashing FPS drops along the way.

⏱️ Gameplay That Feels Just Right

Things play smoother now. We’ve added quality-of-life updates:

Adjust game speed to skip downtime
Pause the timeline to read moments with precision
See exact second values instead of vague bars

More control = more satisfying problem-solving.

📘 Smarter Onboarding

New to NODE? The updated intro includes helpful guidance for first-time players. It’s subtle, but effective. No hand-holding. Just what you need, when you need it.

🖥️ Polished UI, No Matter How You Play

We’ve overhauled the interface for clarity and comfort, whether you’re on a keyboard or gamepad. Smoother button feedback. Cleaner sound design. Small details, big difference.

Map Bug?

When I go to the map screen it constantly scrolls up. I don't know if that's deliberate for some reason but it's very annoying.

I like the overall look and the game mechanic, but there are a few things that keep it from being a "must have" for me: I understand there is a bit of trial and error involved, but a timer on screen while the robot is going through the commands would help ease frustration of having to replay the same spot a bunch of times because the player doesn't know the timing for each part, it gets tedious to change the programming and see the robot fail multiple times because I was off by .5 seconds Regarding pote...

Demo feed back ( based on short playtime)

So far i like everything about this demo, is it wrong to send node to his death on purpose ? just to hear the noise it makes ? The opening is pretty but holding down d / > for what seems like an age before we get the ' core mechanic' needs a bit more cinematic flair to it, like something more going on in the back ground or different music ? Not sure but it feels like it's missing something. Once in to the core game play loop things have a good pace to them story beats are interesting, I think a ski...

Absolutely amazing so far, I was able to complete the demo in around 80 minutes with only minor issues. I only have 2 areas of feedback really to give and they are mostly minor. -The first being the trash compactor segment I was able to pass through fairly easily, I'm not sure whether I just got lucky with my timing and programming but I was able to clear 3/4 of it on the first run. Depending on the difficulty you are going for, the spacing of the safe cavities could be a bit more varied for an increased...
