To answer your question, I have also been internally pushing Volition Inc. to consider a remake of Summoner 1 and have been doing my part. Perhaps with more public support and campaigns, we can draw enough attention to this great cause we all would love to see! Thank you for all the support over the years, us developers do appreciate it!

Not something like the Final Fantasy 7 remake which is basically a completely different game using the same world, characters and story.
I'd love to see what Summoner could be with modern visuals, modern voice acting, improved and enhanced gameplay that still feels like the original but is the best version that it can be.
Remakes that completely change the core gameplay loose more than they gain in my opinion.
Especially when it comes to that chill, relaxing experience that many enjoy playing RPG's for.
Sometimes you want a relaxing, slow turn based RPG to chill our and play.
And sometimes you want a fast paced Action RPG to excite you.
There's plenty of both around these days, but there are so few games like Summoner, and I for one would love nothing more than to see that experience preserved should any remake come into existence.
Just bought the game again despite still having it on CD still. Really hope this can be done in the near future as this game has most certainly deserved it.
Anything... I really wish this franchise to be revived so badly.
Part of what made the original so great is the voice acting >.>
As far as why they're not rebooting it is because while the first sold well enough to spawn a sequel that sequel didn't sell well enough to merit a PC port. It wasn't like The Elder Scrolls where each release added to its fanbase. Summoner 2 wasn't as good as the first and so the series died. Nobody revives dead series.
