Trouble getting xbox one controller to work
Xbox One controller does not seem to connect to game. It works fine on other games. Any ideas?

I can't get my 360 controller to work either, which is weird, because I've played it on this exact computer with the exact same computer before Guacamelee 2 came out, extensively. Maybe an update broke it?

Same here, my 360 controller isn't being recognized by the game now, even though it was working just fine a few days ago.

Same here, my Xbox 360 controller worked with the game yesterday, but not today.
Same here, although I found that the keyboard was locked in as P1 and I could only use my x360 controller for P2 no matter what the controller settings were

Edit: I should also mention that I'm playing on a laptop, so simply disconnecting the keyboard isn't really an option :P

Hi folks - the game itself hasn't changed recently, so our best guess is that this has something to do with Steam's built-in input configuration tools. We had recently set them to use custom controller configurations as the default for some input devices, in hopes that would make other controllers like PS4, etc usable by default with the game.

If you were having this issue, please...
- Give it another try (I've rolled back the input change)
- If you still have the issue, take a look at your Steam controller configuration settings. These are found by entering Big Picture mode, picking the gear in the top right, then picking 'Controller Settings'. If you're just using an Xinput controller like a X360/X1 controller, it should have no problem working with the game natively when 'Xbox configuration support' and all the rest are unchecked. (You can set these settings on a per-game basis too if you don't want to mess with your setup on other games)
- Let us know if this still seems impossible to get working (and any more details about what it's doing would be great -- are all of you finding your controller assigns only to P2? Does it control P1 as well, or show a non-existent controller assigned to P1?)

Thanks, hope that helps.
