Is this game still alive?

I have been trying to play any match and I usually have to wait 10+ minutes just to find one and 90% of the time its the same players I have played with before.

On a side note, game keeps crashing after playing around 3-4 matches.

Well for me, I would say yes.
I just played 5 games as a diver. Waited a maximum of 2 minutes.
No crashes or problems at all.

As it stands according to Steam's player count, there are only 101 average players at most. this recent battle pass event did not increase player count. the game will probably dip down to double digits in the coming month.

And that was even in the middle of the day on a week day.

also got to take time zone into consideration, for me around 12 - 3pm PST time, I find games between instant to 10 mins. however when it gets into 6pm PST, the time it takes to find the match is way longer, the most I ever had was 33 mins, the lowest was 6 mins

It is dead partially due to how niche the game is and the lack on new things being done with the game the devs just do the same thing over and over again.

Its a fun game and has decent events, just try to play it in the evening when most players are on.

Asking "Dead game" is like asking if a clown is a pedo. The answer is almost always no but people are going to say yes. If the game was dead the Dev would not develop it. You prob have a timing issue. Like if you try looking for servers at 9am on a monday there's going to be no players even if that's not the time for you.
