Start can be rough because of low damage and being stuck in place, but it can become a huge threat after some kills.

I usually go Hangry > Razor Fins > Vitalized Frenzy > Level 2 ability and that's pretty much gg. Can take anything afterwards, bleed to maybe get those kills you end up missing because your E didn't hit, Powerful Tail to be less of an easy target, a bit of healing can always come in handy with Hemo or if I'm ahead a lot in tickets I'd take Headstrong to maybe take down STEVE. Nimble Finned is a skill that's always handy on every shark, but not required on Thresher. If you miss frequently, it definitely helps. Placoid Scales is also good because bleed can do a number on Thresher.

Level 2> Level 3> vitalized frenzy and throw electrreception in there when you can, so you can target weak divers.

Then hangry to get in faster. After all that, everything else is cake :bernie:
I feel electroreception is a MUST for thresher

Nah, I like to live dangerously.

Each to their own, I just like targeting the weak and wounded links of the chain it is so much more tasty.

People do different things.

For me personally I get level 2 tail whip first and don’t go past that becuase level 2 tail whip gets a diver to half life. Level 3 tail whip for me personally is a waste of pts and dmg.

After tail 2 i go for electroception because you can see who your teammate or yourself has already whittled down. If a diver is down to half life all you have to do to kill them is whip them once and then swim away. Drive by attacks get really efficient with the thresher.

Next I usually go for powerful tail it is VERY strong with thresher. After grabbing a diver you can dash with him in your mouth to 2-3 other divers and tailwhip killing the diver in your mouth and bringing the rest down to half health with a level 2 tail whip. This is pretty OP if you can do it well and the divers are dumb enough to stay in close proximity to another. If they don’t used medkits it is gg.

If the divers are good shots I may go for the ability that lets you change direction (i think it is called lunge) while darting or dashing. This is helpful because normally when you dart or dash it is linear and this allows you to curve making it very difficulty to hit you or guess your approach.

If they get mods quick I may go for armor.

If they aren’t using mods I will get homeogenesis for the heals.

Normally if I am doing well I will go tail 2, electroreception, powerful tail and then whatever I feel is best from there.

I max out the tail asap and then depending on the game will grab either mobility upgrades like NF or VF if I am not in need of that yet.

I start with electroreception, then upgrade the tail both levels, then go either blood feast or vitalized frenzy, then serrated teeth and at that point anything else works.

Level 2 & Level 3 tail, Hangry on most maps, nimble finned, vitalized frenzy, powerful tail, razor fins, then whatever you want.

Electro-reception can be bought any time after level 2 and 3

This build lets you keep constant pressure, have stupid hit and run speed, and later on you can chain ability tail slaps by grabbing a diver, dashing to another diver while tail slapping so you hit them both (the diver in your mouth should die) and then since you have your ability back up you just repeat the process.

Tail 3 is kind of debated among a lot of players since tier 2 can still kill divers in 2 hits, but being able to destroy consumables (usually more than one at a time) is really broken and your teammate will always appreciate it.

Razor Fins does 1/5 of diver health so it helps finish off divers you're trying to chain or simply second hand thrash to death. The extra damage might not seem like much but it will save you plenty of times as well as make kills slightly easier if you die.
