Sound Effect Replacement?

I want to replace the HUSS laser beam sound with the sound from the Tripod Laser blast(s) from the War of the Worlds movie. Is this possible and if so, can someone start me on the right path?

It's possible for you to mod in any sound but the very short version is you need a copy of fmod and the audiobank - both of which can be obtained for free (downloading fmod for personal use is fine - signup required is all). Please note that we are not sound effects people ourselves and our own knowledge of it is very limited.

Section 7 of the guide goes into a little more detail and provides links to fmod but due to the recent update the audiobank link in the guide is currently out of date - the most current one is https://drive.google.com/file/d/1D4i_oD6HujDvt_jWrUHJXAA77Mn86P0U/view?usp=sharing (NB this file is nearly 2 GB).
