Endless mode need this change.
The absurd difficulty spike would have been a lot more tolerable if the "Train track" part of the game was also endless.

If they do this and make the enemies scale slower, this would make endless mode way more fun.
Yeah I still haven't figured out how to get past the second round of enemies on endless mode. The extreme uptick in health, armor, and damage reductions gets me every time.
I managed to get past seraph with wyldelton and then a few more battles, but things with 9/18 reanimate stacks popped the pyre. The battle you're talking about, endless protection, is utterly obnoxious compared to anything else.

I agree. They totally messed up endless mode. I really hope they rework it.
It should have been a "fun mode" where you were doing the whole train track thing as long as you can looping through all the bosses or something, refining your deck. This mode should have been called ridiculous mode or something.
Disagree. The Endless mode I feel like they're going for is meant to be a victory lap for the rare, excellent run. Give you rapidly-scaling enemies to push your deck to its limits before quickly overwhelming you.

An Endless Mode that's just normal Monster Train, but thirty fights instead of eight/nine just sounds painfully slow. It's a roguelike. Start a run, win or lose, onto the next one.

Maybe it's just poor branding. The developers explicitly said that Endless isn't supposed to literally be a never-ending run - they want Endless to kill you, and pretty quickly. Calling it Endless seems to give people a different impression.
They should rename Endless Mode to Endurance Mode, because that's what it really is. Endless implies more of the core gameplay of drafting, purging, and optimizing. And yes, a real endless mode should be implemented as well, maybe as a start option for a run.

I wouldn't mind scaling enemies.
The real fun-killer is the forced-upon modifiers - sometimes it's as easy as "remove two cards from your already lean deck", and sometimes the choice is between "the units are too expensive to deploy" and "every morsel you summon kills the rest".
I love Endless being a proper endurance mode, but good god they could reign it in a little.

Had an incredible run going with Underlegion. Rallied my champion to deal over 700 damage per hit, had 4 free Spawning Pods cards with intrinsic, so just constant free scaling. Sounds like an easy clap for the achievement, right?

♥♥♥♥ no.
2nd round of Endless spawned Barrier units with 30 Thornskin (what the ♥♥♥♥), 200+ armor, and 600+ HP (seriously, what the ♥♥♥♥)

Sorry I don't have a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ MOAB installed on each floor to open the sun in their faces, I guess. (This is a rant more than anything. I managed to get the achievement through a good few resets and getting lucky that I could kill the boss before a unit was about to one-shot my Pyre, but it didn't feel fun to do at all. Endless just ain't for me this time around.)

the ramp in difficulty definitely needs tweaking.

i had an extremely powerful run with unchained fel where i legit didnt even break a sweat the entire game. so i was like hell yeah lets go endless! only to get my ass thoroughly pounded on round 2.

never wanna play that trash mode again. i never even stood a chance

It is always round 2.
Round 3 is a lot more manageable than that (it is a boss fight against Arkion, and flying bosses are usually easier. Even at 6000 health).
(the worst part, of course, are the absurd modifiers)
