Daily Challenge Cheaters
The top person currently in the daily challenge had 22,267,876 coins and 1 turn kills on all the bosses. There are two pyrestone housing relics. The deck is not in a situation where it would be remotely possible to kill Seraph. This is not possible.

F8 to submit a report when viewing their end run screen, devs will ban em
As a new player this just adds more to discouragement. I do not see them interacting with the community at all about these and other issues.
Just a complete turn off from the excitement I had. Tired of just being abused and now cheaters in Daily Challenges?? Why would anyone want to do that and post their abuse and cheat to get banned?

When we find cheaters, we remove and ban them immediately. We have several layers in place to automatically ban some, and add others to a queue for internal processes we have for verification (including some manual review).

Just as on MT1, there will be cheaters in the Daily Challenge, but when they're found they are banned permanently. And as quickly as we can possibly get to them. It's extremely helpful if members of the community point out anyone they suspect of cheating.

As Gabriot mentioned, using F8 while in game is the quickest way for us to see it and respond with a ban if they're found to have cheated. The player mentioned at the top, for example, has been banned (and the score removed).
Imagine being a cheater, lowlife.

Welcome to the internet. Every single leaderboard ever has cheaters on top. Just don't worry about it unless you really want to engage in all that number chasing for the 1st spot.

I take it that means anyone using mods, even those without any interest in leaderboards, should stay away from online stuff? I use a mod that adds a new clan, hence my curiosity

Yes, To be safe if you want to do online stuff (Daily Challenges, Community Challenges) run the game with all mods disabled.

In general, clan mods may include content (think clanless stuff like Frenzystone, Stewards Quarters, etc) that is visible when not doing a run with said clan. That will cause issues since you will roll different cards, artifacts, etc than someone who isn't running that mod.

this is literally every game in existence that has a leaderboard, the leaderboard is always hacked. As long as there's no real world prizes on the line, i guess it doesn't matter. nobody is getting hurt, except for their pride.

I would just ignore the top scores and look at my own score and bump myself up in my own headcanon.
