Listen to the music in Monster Train (2020), how cool it is, and here it's inappropriate in places.
None of MT2 tracks had that "something" in them what first one oozed with when I listened to OST.
Drums and guitars, drums and guitars, drums and guitars - I think thats probably one of reasons I do not enjoy MT2 as much that I can put my finger on it.
In MT1 tracks were both different and good, but if I hear drums and guitars most of the time even if the track changes it still feels the same and repetitive simply because of the oversaturation and spoil enjoyment of good track that otherwise would be growing on me and make me anticipate it.
I have been listening to the original MT OST for a long time and I love it very much. Still in my playlist.
Just goes to show..
I'm a metal head so I love the soundtrack. To each there own. :)
Yeah, its still them. Combat tracks are nowhere like in MT1 though.
Clans sounded mostly same but are now enhanced with a guitar.
Sojourns are no longer as much ambient if you are anywhere outside of shop whereas there were 3 dynamic versions of it in original one so for those that it was too much in background and calm it will be an improvement.
if you read the song title at the start of each level it seems clear that the soundtrack we have heard so-far is fairly specific to the 'titan of savagery' themed enemies, hence the loud/angry aggressive metal tones.
it seems a perfect fit for the setting and any battles against this particular set of enemies
monster train 1 had a great soundtrack and so does this
idk
