How to set up "vision borders"?
You know how in some, well actually most levels, there are limits as to where you can look (such as in the prison level, the soldier and manny pardo's dream level). I tried "set level borders" but it doesn't seem to do anything other than block off where i can move. I haven't found any answers to this yet, and it's making my levels look more unprofessional than they already are.

Thanks!

But I think you snouldn't replace backgrounds. You better replace level items on borders ID (-1, 1182).

Dude, I have the same problem. I wish I could help you.

Also, I’m six years late to this thread

The guide shown above is everything you need to know. If you don't know how to Notepad++ stuff in, you'll need to learn that as well, but it's actually relatively well-documented for how few people care about the editor.

There's sadly no way to add the camera borders in-game. You'll only be able to get them to work through modifying the files.

(I'm actually kind of thankful nobody moderates this forum, because if that was the case I wouldn't have been able to respond to this, since it'd have been locked for being a necro.)

Oh well. I was planning to use Notepad++ anyway. Thank you for your advice.

Also, could you please explain what Necro means in this context?

It's when someone brings an old thread "back from the dead."

i used jungle night and the vanilla borders and it worked, i just added my levels into a campaign and the vision borders dont work, idk how else im gonna have to do this

All custom backgrounds stop working in campaigns, such as the Son's red backgrounds, or the Dead Ahead wave background. The only way to get the vision borders to work in a campaign is to use the Notepad++ method, unfortunately. :/

How to make the level have a certain visibility of boundaries? That is, so that we can only see a certain area and not be able to see everything that the player could see outside of it. And what file is responsible for the background?

correct me if I'm wrong since I haven't modded in quite a long time, but I think you need to set up the borders by putting the walls as usual, adding an item, then replacing the item ID with the soldier cam ID, I'm not sure if it'd work since I forgot a bit on level making n stuff
