We don't like talking about anime stereotype number two, because it isn't as kawaii. You know, FRIENDSHIP, SPIKEY HAIR, PEOPLE TURNING INTO FOUNTAINS OF BLOOD FOR SOME REASON. But seriously though, I like the ugly face sprites for Hotline Miami, I don't want to see an oversexualized Corey and the Fans going around saying "THE POWER OF FRIENDSHIP" while kicking around Russians. Almost every anime these days though have some really weird out of place gore scene with blood everywhere, I mean for Hotline Miami, it makes sense, but for some reason, even regular slice of life's have this trend now...
We have had over the top movies full of people soloing tons of people like Dirty Harry and Rambo, I don't see why a movie would be so bad. I mean, I don't really think a show would even fit Hotline Miami's style in general, unless you want some sort of drama.... if they DID make one though, I think the art style of the comics were pretty fitting, gives the gritty 80s vibe and is good on length. But seriously, this thread should just be if Hotline Miami was an animated show or something, cartoons and animes are basically the same thing.
