How am I supposed to use Alex and Ash on Hard Mode_

You know... becuase they remove auto lock on Hard Mode... and as far as I know thats the only way to aim with them...

Use only Alex then. You can use Ash to distract enemies.

or you can use Tony or Mark, those also work as well.

Yeah I don-t use them that much, but you know... Death Wish forces me to use them so might aswell just get the question out of the way before getting there.

Well yes, but since you can't control him directly you just have to hope that he's looking the right way. Anyway thanks for the tips, I'll use them as soon as I get to Death Wish.

I used ash and alex on hard mode more than any of the other fans when given the choice. As others have stated you can use the original gun to attract enemies to the saw, then once you have used up all the ammo pick up a better gun like a shotgun where the aiming is far less precise

Ash shoots directly at the crosshair. He doesn't follow the crosshair when he isn't shooting, but as soon as you start shooting he will.

Now, if he's standing where he won't just shoot a doorway, on the other hand...

You use ash to bait enemies and then you use alex to chainsaw the enemies. They actually made hard mode a lot easier to beat through because the chainsaw can kill anything, even the fat guys. The only level that I had to use another fan was the second level were you have to pickup a girl.
