Evan's ( the writter) rage mode

So when you just punch 2 guys to death you get to be the mad evan and you can use weapons to kill but , is there any other difference? are you faster ? is it just to complete levels in a hurry?

It becomes easier because of the guns you can now use, but you get more points staying "calm" and raising your combos by disabling those guns. Basically a risk/reward kind of thing.
