Subway Ninja Guy

On Subway, there's a part with one of those green guys who ducks under everything. I know you're supposed to melee him, but every time i try he just kills me first. How are you supposed to kill him?

Go into rage mode by killing 2 regular guys and then you can take out the dodger

I dont think its clever. The whole point of the writter is to not kill people. But your forced to do it and therfor destroying his unique playstyle.

It wouldn't be so bad if the game told you about the rage mode, a lot of us knew about it from preview footage and leaks but the general playerbase has no idea of its existence

If it forced you to beat somebody to death on your own on normal mode then maybe. And after beating him to death on the first level he trys to revive him and get help. For story if they wanted to show that he wants to kill people they could of shown that better for all modes, not just hard. And as for gameplay I allready said its destroys his uniqeu style.

Beleive what you want as there are many things to beleive. I'll respect that but I think they could of done that better.

Doesn't seem like he wants to kill them

With Evans, he's has two levels of difficulty.
Easy Mode: Kill 2 guys (with them showing blood) get a gun, kill everybody.
Hard Mode: Don't kill two guys (with them showing blood), grab a melee weapon (no knives) and hurt everyone in the level.
I completed it the easy way, I even got the gang leader without him noticing me.

How'd you get that ducking guy on the second stage?

The ducking enemies can only be killed by melee weapons. If you're in nonlethal mode and have a bat or metal pipe it will knock him out just like any other enemy. I think you can also hit him with a weapon throw but I'm not sure.

I've tried as normal Evan, but he's always faster. Always. Maybe I just suck, but I can kill the Katana guys with melee fine and they're mostly the same.

You dont suck. I had my pipe, or is it a golf club go through the subway chainsaw guy trying to get as close as I can without being shredded. And throwing weapons do nothing cause he ducks for a second.

You're not forced at all to do it, I didn't even know you could actually go in rage mode with him and I got the achievement for finishing all of his levels without killing anyone on my first playthrough because of that. So yet another complaint that just translates to "I'm too bad at this game so I think there's only one way to deal with this level".

EDIT : When you swing your melee weapon, the end of your swing also hurts people, so maybe try to start the swing a bit before you're close enough to hit the gang leader.

If your so good then please tell me how you managed to beat subway on hard without killing people. If you would of read everybody here agrees that the only way to get past the level is to go into rage mode and kill the chainsaw guy. And I also got that achievment also.
