PS3 Controller under Linux and Windows 7
Is there anybody using this setup?

I'm used to play my games (shank, guacamelee...) with xboxdrv, but it doesn't work for me right now. (Archlinux 64Bits)

However if launched in Big Picture the "PS" button works as expected...

Any idea?

One more thing on Windows 7 when I "click" on my right joystick (R3) it auto-select an ennemy, and i don't want this behavior, is there any option to disable it (it affects Hotline Miami 1 too...)

Don't know about Linux, but under Windows both Dualshocks works with default direct input drivers and game gives playstation button prompts: http://i.imgur.com/ED02Fb6.png

R3 doesn't do anything for me. Have you rebound buttons perhaps?

Do you play via bluetooth or via USB? I play using MotionInJoy drivers via bluetooth, I will try with a USB cable ASAP...

I have only plugged in USB and haven't installed any external drivers outside what Windows installs by default. It's easier that way for me because I also have 360 controller for Xinput only games and I use those dualshocks on PS3 and PS4.

I would HIGHLY suggest uninstalling MotionInJoy:

For wireless use I know DS4Windows is best one with Dualshock 4 but I have no idea what to use with Dualshock 3 as I only know about Xinput wrapper which then switches prompts to 360 ones: http://pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Controller:DualShock_3

Better DS3 seems a decent alternative! Thanks for your help. Now I just need to get it working under linux.
BetterDS3 still uses MotionInJoy, but at least it's much safer than using tool itself.

I installed Linux onto my machine so I could play Transistor with Dualshock 4 LED working. At least for me controller got working directly and it detected everything including touchpad, LED only needed chmodding permissions right.
However, again, no idea about bluetooth.
