Same, the window is full screen but I can't see the game. No black screen, just sound.

I had the same problem, it's most likely because the game doesn't support your monitor's resolution. I "fixed" it by running it in open GL mode, go to launch options and put in -gl .
But even then the game won't run properly, for me it ended up having the game run in a corner of my screen. You can go to the video options at this point and go borderless fullscreen, and it actually makes it take the full screen. But the game still can't deal with the resolution of the monitor vs ingame resolution and, at least for me personally, the mouse becomes bound to a small section of the screen and just crashes out once you try to break that boundary.

At this point it's pretty much wait for a patch....I honestly don't know how a game can launch with such sparse resolution options.

I found a fix for Windows 10 users:

1. Right click Hotline Miami 2:Wrong Number in Steam library
2. Properties -> Local Files -> Browse Local Files
3. Right click HotlineMiami2.exe
4. Properties -> Compatibility -> Change high DPI settings
5. Tick 'Override high DPI scaling behaviour'.
6. From the dropdown, choose 'Application'.

Hope this helps!
tuve EL MISMO PROBLEMA, y lo resolvi iniciando el juego desde el panel de software de AMD (adrenalin).
No me preguntes porque, pero magicamente se ejecuto perfectamente.

I found a solution for windows 10/11. You have to go to the games files, right click on the .exe file, properties, compatibility, look down about 3/4 of the way, then it should say something like "Change High DPI settings", click it. When you click it, it should say "Program DPI" on the top, also it should have a check box, click it, after you check it press okay, then apply, then you can close it. :steamhappy:
it doesn't work :(
