Why no lock-on for hard mode?
Literally the only reason I suck at hardmode is that I can't aim with the way this camera works, it's so annoying and difficult to aim, and I have 1 question.

Why no lock-on for hard mode?

I get it's supposed to be more skilled but this games aiming mechanic is unusable.

Is that literally the only reason why you suck at hard mode?

The aiming mechanic isn't unusable, you're just no good with it. Get better. That's all there is to it. You'll get to the point where you'll even forget there was a lock on on Normal.

You suck at the hard mode not because you can't lock. You just suck at HM2

Are you playing with a controller ? Personnaly, I didn't know that there were a lock on before the middle of the game... And even then I didn't really use it. I mean, just take a shotgun and you won't need it anymore !

Anyway, the only really boring thing with the hard mode is that you can't throw yours guns without loosing bullets, which is totally stupid.

Pathetic. I was awful at aiming when I first started playing, but by the time I had reached Hard mode, my aim was near perfect... Have you litterally been locking onto almost every enemy throughout the game? god you suck.

I find this games aiming system odd, it moves with the player, which messes me up, I'm sorry I'm not as skilled as god, but I would have played hardmode if i actually could have it.....

I think you should try harder to get used to it. But really, it's not so difficult one you're used to it. I finished the Hard mode and I'm not an hardcore gamer ! One advice : don't try to aim precisely at the ennemies, you should shoot where you think they are, even if you don't see them. Plus : use the melee weapons when you can, guns are not always the best solution.

I always try to use melee, and throw weapons to be silent, unless I find a scilenced pistol.

Also thanks for not responding rudely like some people.

Yeah, some guys here consider themselves as true gamers and are agressive as soon as someone is complaining about this game. Which is stupid because HM2 is really an hard and frustrating game, with some serious troubles of level design sometimes.

But I can ensure you that you're gonna be better if you train yourself to play without lock-on, but begin to try on the normal mode before to confront the hard mode.

Levels with the mafia guy (with the silenced pistol) are really good to train yourself.

Sorry, I was simply restating what you said as a question

Though I suppose I should have worded the rest differently.

I mean, if that's the reason that you say you "suck" at hard mode, then it IS something you'll have to get better with. No way around something as big as a game's aiming mechanic, even however obtrusive you find it.

However, once you do get the hang of it, trust me, you may even forget about it on Normal. Do try what buzzati suggested and try out Normal without using lock on. At least on Normal, you won't have to deal with the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ lightning fast reaction times and perfect aiming the AI get on Hard.
