games that are similar to hotline Miami 1 and 2.
So are their any other games similar to hotline Miami? The only two I can think of are postal 1 and 2 for the violence and dreamWeb for a similar mindscrew plot and top down perspective.

I like crimsonland a lot, though it's more of a Smash TV blood bowl type of game. An interesting almost hybrid is neon chrome, even though it seems like whoever created the abilities system was drunk, it's just a bit bizarre.

Edit:ManlyMan is right about 12bt6, though that was a helluva lot buggier for me. Plus, I guess I'm the only person who hated the pistol mechanics on the gamepad, especially due to the clacking when youre in a big gunfight. I've woken up my gf on multiple occasions while furiousl trying to ♥♥♥♥ and shoot with the shoulder bumpers.

A game that's rather similar in gameplay might be nuclear throne. Even though there is a different storyline and the way you play the game differs. It might still be worth the effort to do some research on it. And besides... it does get refrenced in hotline miami 2

Bloodbath Kavkaz: The russian copy of Hotline Miami (heck, it was even called "Hotline Kavkaz" before, until Dennaton showed up). NEVER buy that game! I warned you!

not really, out of the games i played nothing really matches the difficulty/aesthetic/gameplay of hm. ape out comes close but it gets really frustrating thanks to its movement speed being tied to whether youre moving toward the cursor or not, and the levels are randomly generated, which becomes REALLY ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ FRUSTRATING on hard mode. if anything, then katana zero is as close as it can get, but its way more linear in the way you can go about beating levels since its a platformer and all.

as for clearly hm inspired fangames like kusan: city of wolves above, theyre usually really easy, mostly because instead of having open areas for its levels the level design focuses on having tiny rooms with 2 or 3 enemies inside that hardly poses a challenge at all, but thats just me ranting.
gods trigger might be fun for you, since its even got built in coop if youre into that typa stuff, but yea, the best youre getting is probably ape out or katana zero

Yeah i agree. But in Party Hard you have to use your brain a bit more cause Party hard is a more of a puzzle game where you have to kill all of the people one by one or use your items wisely to kill a lot of people. While in Hotline miami you just have to think on your feat and have decent reaction times. But Party Hard and Hotline Miami have ONE very tiny thing in common..... The feeling of wanting to smash your pc with a slegehammer when you die when theres one guy left in the level XDDD
