Why don't people hate this game?
Do people like playing games in which you die over and over and over and over? Are you all masochists? Don't get me wrong I love the story and I love the characters but Jesus ♥♥♥♥ing Christ scene 14 where you play as the soldier and have to take a Russian base solo is maybe the most infuriating mission in any game I've played, right before trying to get tidus legendary weapon in FFX and trying to beat divine dragon in LOD, so its in my top 3 so far. I literally have no ammo. I restarted with the machine gun because I thought I'd be able to pick up ammo but no. I just beat the level after 2 hours by just baiting and knifing every enemy except the fatties and the snipers. Had like 5 bullets left.

The difficulty is what makes it good.
Also, you didn't even got to Hard mode. That's where you will get raped over and over.

Does hard mode make anything different aside from difficulty? I'm not going to play it if its the same game with no changes, there's no point after I've beat it once.

More enemies, more windows, levels will be inverted.

Also, you will witness an interesting thing if you start the Hard mode. Not gonna spoiler it though.

I don't really care about spoilers, I looked the plot of the whole game up before getting it so I probably know what you're talking about and I don't think its worth replaying the whole game. All the other stuff you mentioned just ties into the difficulty though, so thanks for telling me, doesn't really seem like I'm gonna be playing it.

I've never cursed a developers name as much as I have with HM2. But that's part of the fun.

As for hard mode, there are far more windows, different enemy spawns, more fatties, more guns but guns have half the ammo and levels are inverted. It is salt-magedon.

Also, you do realise you can restock on ammo on an ammo box in the map, right? Just look around, they're available in each part where there are enemies (no refils on hard mode though).

I think I saw them but I didn't realize you could interact with them :/ useful info now though thanks

Some of us like our games hard. It kinda feels nice. In the perspective-based, I-am-not-a-masochist-but-a-fast-excitement-sort-of-guy.

I like hard games too, in fact I just got batman arkham asylum and set the difficulty to hard. Usually I set the difficulty in games I play to at least hard, but this is just hard for the sake of being hard.

That's just it. I don't care about the reward, I care about the game being hard and the directly related effects. Hard is fun, but hard is a ♥♥♥♥ pit, and some people enjoy it for that.

Git gud! Dying is a part of the process. :)

Yes. That's the exact reason why this game and Dark Souls exists.
