How to efficiently use Roll Dodge?

It's really useless.

Basically crap ability, the devs didn't make it do anything else besides give you mild invinciblity, the problem is that it doesn't even knock down people ircc, and playing on hard mode enemies will chase you down and after you do the roll you're free to get killed.

Stay with playing with Ash and Alex if you can, those two are literally the best characters out of the squad and if you're forced to play her you gotta play cat and mouse with enemies always running out of danger to pick the enemies one by one.

You can roll towards someone shooting you, dodging the bullets to get an instant knock on them (roll has to end with you inside them, or you just m1 fast enough). You can also roll through fats if they have you pinned against a wall.
It's really good for a baiting many people quickly without getting shot by charging into a room and dodgerolling backwards through the same door/past a corridor. If you want to get the full combo on Corey's Death Wish part, that's how you do it consistently.

You can't roll towards melee's though, they will instagib you.

People calling it useless are just scrubs that don't know how to abuse stuff. It's incredibly good and let's you cheese the f out of levels.
