First Blood A+ on Normal

Does anyone have any advice on getting an A+ on this level? I keep maxing out my combo score with just melee and even that's not enough to get the A+

Dude, don’t use melee.
My advice, get a automatic weapon at the front, and precisely gun everyone down on the first screen.
Now quickly either take a bat or another gun to the next floor.
Shoot the first guy parallel to the stairs. The noise will attract other mobsters.
Be careful, and dodge in and out of cover. Then at the last section, fire into the crowd of three patrolling enemies, and duck in and out of cover once again.
I got an S a few times from that, so you should be fine.

Oh ♥♥♥♥, I didn't know combos carried over between levels. Thanks, made it way easier to carry over with a gun.

Yeah, they carry over.
That being said, automatic weapons or bust.
You gotta be quick as hell.
