Dead Ahead is such a PoS chapter.
Seriously, who in their right mind thought this was fair?

You haven't even played hard mode.
dead ahead is the hardest level in the game but it is doable. Worst part is the first part where you have to kill the sniper like colombians. Just go to the last row (one right next to them) and shoot. You can go to one of the ends and it will be easier to kill them
I agree but at least on normal mode it's doable. Of course it's doable on hard mode because of the videos on youtube of people getting S rank on Dead Ahead Hard Mode, but not for me (at least right now). Awhile back I was attempting to get the achievement for finishing the game on Hard Mode but Dead Ahead was the deal breaker for me. The sniper guys hiding behind cover are bs in general but I think there's something different with them on hard mode that makes it even more difficult to shoot them. Or maybe it's the enemy that's parked in front of them. I think there's some "elite" guy with a katana who patrols that area in hard mode.

Also my game was not keeping track of my progress with finishing levels on hard mode for some levels. Meaning I completed the level on hard mode but it would not show my best time. Supposedly I would still get the achievement if I beat the game on hard mode but not having my best time up makes me think there's a chance the achievement wouldn't proc.

So beating Dead Ahead on normal AT ALL is obviously difficult. So is beating it on Hard Mode. But what REALLY seems almost impossible for me is getting A+ on Dead Ahead. There's that achievement for getting an A+ on all levels (on normal mode) but you have to very fast, very precise and very efficient to get an A+ on any level. Fast and precise is not something that comes to mind with Dead Ahead. Especially those snipers.
Dude this level on hard mode was one of my favorites

nothing better than getting a 92 combo on dead ahead :TheRooster:

I got it S ranked normal and hard. I agree it's the hardest level but it's not that much harder to get an S ranking on since you can get huge combos.

That is pretty hard but honestly I have the most trouble just getting past the initial boss fight (the 50 Blessings boss guy in the prison yard). He does this bs teleport grab if you don't bob and weave properly. After that it's not super difficult (but definitely still challenging). The berserker guys don't bother me because you can kill them with one hit of a melee weapon but the fat guys have to be killed with a gun and that always screws me up.

Guys, i saw a youtube video and the guy made a 68x (killing every single enemy straight untill the fourth stage) combo and i realized that this is the way to get S so I played 4 hours straight yesterday to get into the third floor, i got 30x combo and l left the game open while i sleept. Today after my breakfast i returned and played more 3hours to keep my combo until 52x i think.. the fourth and fifth floor i just played "normal" and that was enough to get S... just think in keep the combo.

Actually once you get good at the game the level isn't really that hard. What makes it hard for a beginner is the huge enemy count (90 enemies spread over 5 floors) but once you learn the level it's no where near death wish levels of awful.

Because yeah, in speedruns, dead ahead isn't actually one of the worst levels, this award would have to go to either Death Wish, Release or Take Over, because those levels are actually pretty damn hard.

i think what makes it hard for beginners is all of the enemys with guns, it's hard to even run without getting shot by 23 bullets at once and then there is floor 5.
