What is the difference between Legion IX and Knight's Tale?
They both look exactly the same, same UI, the same graphics, the same game mechanics (judging by the short gameplay videos), and even the same spells/abilities.

What is NeocoreGames adding as new in this game besides the story?
Legion IX could have been a DLC for the looks of it.

Is this an expansion? Why sell it as a completely different game even though it isn't different

Expeditions: Viking + Expeditions: Rome + King Arthur: Knight's Tale
If it's as I described, it will be cool

Not sure. From the very brief description, I assume that it's a new undead army fighting some version of the forces that we built in Knight's Tale. I hope not. I grew to like those characters, including Mordred. I'd rather take my forces from the first game, and fight against a new undead army.

RN it's looks like Legion IX is just the same reskinned game without meningful innovations

It's a Separate stand-alone game

Hi there,

Legion IX actually started out as a DLC/Expansion but during development we chose to do a standalone game instead. This enables more new players to give this a go and experience our version of Avalon for a friendly price of 20 bucks. :)

The main differences are the new morality system that will have a greater effect on the story and how the game ends, ultimate abilities for your heroes, party size increased to 6 and having Nova Roma as your base instead of Camelot, with some new buildings and mechanics like the Lararium. The game is more focused on storytelling and your 6 characters.

The base of the games is quite similar, true, but that is intended. We hope you will still find game fun and have a great time with leading the undead romans and experiences their story. :)

Just wanted to say thank you for your communication, it was a clear answer and the price-point you mentioned is very generous also. Camelot felt like a hidden gem when I found it, very excited for this one.

I had no clue about this game untill I went to the neocore games website and discovered this. If I click the developer page on steam it does not show up.

I wouldnt say VERY GENEROUS price point for a SINGLE ACT. That means the base game would cost something like 80-100 bucks. I wouldnt encourage any developer to these prices as standards, they are overpricing games anyways. I will pick it up when it will be around 10 bucks. Thats more reasonable.

I was unaware of acts being released separately, where can I see this stated? Im not the most perceptive and can't see it on the store page. I presumed the game would release as.. well a game, not a section of a game. I only purchased King Arthur at the very end of its life, did that game release in the way you stated?

It wont be released as acts, the entire length of the game will be the same as the longest Act was in the previous game. So it will be much shorter. Thats what they told in other posts. I hope that clarifies it. :cozybethesda:

Knight's Tale has 20+ endgame missions, which is even more than any regular act.

Nah, should have stayed as an Expansion Pack, with perhaps two or three in total. Look at the EP's for Dawn of War II - fully realised and loaded with new content and game mechanics, they were all stand-alone but made to fit as a part of a whole. Half the price of the main game too, which in Australia meant A$50 (yeah, we've been screvwed over for decades as all AA and AAA titles were, and many still are A$100).
