As someone who really enjoyed the previous title, I don't feel comfortable recommending this game seeing as in some aspects it's almost the same exact game with a Roman skin thrown on top, with even less depth and variability.

It's a glaring realization when you're not only consistently running into the same enemies as the previous title, but even maps. I've even had a (quest/event) trigger during a particular mission that I remember being in the previous King Arthur, and should have clearly been removed as it wasn't initiated properly. There are FAR less heroes, who all have almost no depth either. There isn't much voice acting, and the bit that there is is unfortunately quite poor. The "story" in regards to the quests barely exists, and quite abruptly comes an end. After that point you are left with nothing but countless side quests one after the other that take place on more maps from the previous game.

If you enjoyed the first King Arthur and just want something comfortable and more of the same, albeit with less depth, it couldn't hurt to pick this up. Otherwise I'd steer clear.

I find this to be an overall worse version of the first game. The base building is slightly worse, having less characters to pick and build is worse, side quests are worse. This could easily have been a dlc add-on to the first game, most of the maps are reused anyway, the story is tied to the first anyway too. If you've played the first game, you would be disappointed with this. If you're looking to play this, I would wait for a sale.

It was incredible to hear that King Arthur: Knight's Tale was getting a sequel, unfortunately, this game failed in every aspect to improve or innovate on any of the ideas and actually managed to simplify and remove ideas that made the original so incredible.

The Pros -

- The art style hasn't changed

The Cons -

- Just about everything is a reused asset from King Arthur: Knight's Tale
- The game offers almost nothing new, the one thing that was introduced were "UItimates" and even then they are
very generic and uninspiring
- The voice acting is atrocious and sounds like a generic AI prompt the entire game
One of the characters just constantly says "For Emperor Sulla" even while killing Sulla??
- The Morality chart is just a slider from Good to Evil and the benefits to either side are negligible
- There are 6 characters in the entire game that are forced upon you with no choices to be made
- Your town is incredibly bland and uninspiring
- Some missions are literally reused exactly from King Arthur: Knight's Tale
- "Side Missions" are actually mandatory and don't really offer anything besides some loot which is majority of the
time sub par
- Overall skills for each character have been reduced
- Your characters cannot get injured and full heal in between missions automatically
(This can be seen as a positive for some but I did enjoy the injury mechanic from the first game.)
- The game only manages to introduce 2 new enemies that ultimately are just re-skins of enemies from the first
game. Even then you are still fighting Picts, Knights, Fomorians, Seelie/Unsellie the majority of the game.

Overall it feels as if no one wanted to work on this title. This game should have been sold as a DLC to King Arthur: Knight's Tale and not as a stand alone.

The game offers around 20 hours of content for a play through, I would only recommend buying this game on a decent sale which is a shame.
