Is there anything you can do with the "Underground Woman?"

I saw a video of someone stuffing one down a well. Is that a mod or a feature? If so, how?

Hmm not that I know of, maybe it's modded or from a dev build? Or maybe there's some prerequisite we don't know of.

Edit: Hold on, he has a mandrake in his inventory that disappears when he clicks the second button. Haven't tried that, gonna see if I can find one and try it out.

I've seen them in the swamp very rarely, but they run really fast and so far haven't been able to catch one

It works in v0.0.12...!
Put a mandrake in inventory, take Underground Woman with you, and click a well.
It will show the two buttoms.

Ok can confirm it does work! I'm currently taming my transformed underground "Sadako-like" woman.

The mandrake I found while walking around the swamp; it's like a small brown carrot that makes a cheerful noise as it runs away from you, but if you have ~15 speed stat you can catch up and I one-hit killed it with an iron sword (I have 28 in strength).

To use it with the underground woman have her follow you, then interact with the well with the dead mandrake in your inventory.

Once you get a mandrake root from the swamp you can feed it to the npc by having them follow you to a well and clicking on the well and choosing "Kill". This will essentially kill the old npc and have them fall down it. What crawls out is Samara from "The Ring". You'll have to knock her back out and re-tame her in a cage. be careful as she now sports new mystic powers and hits pretty hard.

She makes for a pretty ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ upgrade though. :o

Default underground woman is uselessly slow, and has a terrible slow melee strike. Ring version floats at like 1.10 speed which isn't far off of everyone else, and has a couple AoE psychic attacks. Her HP growth is terrible at +2 per level, but she gains +3 attack per level and the one I had started with like... 145 attack I swear.

Just remember she apparently spawns with the stats/level of the underground woman you sacrifice, so be careful of that. Also she comes with a free new costume! :D
