//misc changes
- The game has been updated to the latest version of GameMaker (v2024.13).
- Campaign Reconnexus game mode - Map Screen: If you hover over an icon that's revealed but you can't yet reach then it now says "path required" where the travel tip usually is.
- Shops: If you don't have enough Cogs to buy an item then its cost is now shown in red.
- Shops Screen: When using a gamepad the Re-roll panel border now uses a brighter version (so it's the same as the Shop borders).
- Blacksmith Forger class: His class trait now allows him to upgrade Weapons/Abilities/Drones into the appropriate Mega item.
- Mimic Mouldmaker class: They will no longer be offered the Mega Element weapon class items if that weapon's element wouldn't show in the Difficulty (as they are useless).

//bug fixes
- Choose Game Mode menu: The Campaign Reconnexus gems for beating the game mode weren't showing.
- Shops Screen: When using a gamepad if all Shops were removed due to Corrupted Signals then the selector was scuffed.
- Shops Screen: When using a gamepad with the Re-roll currently selected then you couldn't press Down to go to Continue.
- Shops Screen: When using a gamepad if a temporary Shop is removed then the bottom text wasn't immediately updating.
- Dodgy Networker class: In a Campaign Reconnexus the Contract Dealer could trigger a Contact Broker or Trojan Signal event.
- Specialous Sectorium passive item: There was a chance it wouldn't add the extra special room if it was a special sector.
- Gunineer Servomegatron drone: There was a chance of it having a normal weapon if you had any Elementless weapons.
- Gunineer Servomegatron drone: There was a rare chance of it having a Voids Vigil weapon.
- Abilitum Installer shop: The Mega Ability background panel looked scuffed if you had more than 5 Mega Abilities.
- Encrypted Stranger - Abilitious Specialty: In a Campaign Reconnexus he could give a Mega Ability you already have.

I'm unsure what hacking this blob containment thing does. It spawns a bunch of blobs, but drop no cogs.

- Title Screen - Choose Difficulty menu: The Nightmare Win gems now use the same colours as the Difficulty element (instead of all being blue).
- When hacking an interactor the brightness of the interaction circle is now increased (so it's easier to notice).
- Dark Metaman class: It now shows its exact class bonuses when choosing a class or viewing them in the Status Screen.
- Automised Upgrader sector room: It now can't spawn in sector 0 (since there's a good chance you won't have anything to upgrade).

- Choose Starting Weapon: In Nightmare Mode choosing Fortuity Destiny as a second weapon wasn't working correctly.
- Campaign Reconnexus - Dormant Radar: It was possible for it to contain only 1 Datarium Bank.
- Gun Runner shop: When using a gamepad there was a rare chance of a crash.
- Gun Runner shop: When offering a mega weapon if both scrapped weapons were the same and you sold one then you could still buy the mega weapon.
- Salvage Stripper class: When using a gamepad Salvaging an item that is not on the first page would Salvage the wrong item.
- Scav Junker shop: If you bought a Drone but had already reached max Drones then it would waste your Cogs.
- Swollen Balls ability: It was using the Player Attack Alpha setting.
- Traitful weapon trait: It could give the Chemistry trait which didn't do anything.

What am I missing?

I am currently missing a single ability from my collection, and I have no idea what it is. It's probably something I've moused over a dozen times, but for some reason not chosen. It's located between "Buzz Droids" and "Droneous Eggling" in the compendium. Any idea what it might be?...

Two possible bugs

https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3472951917 The first one is that you can get an elementless voids vigil if you have the mega atom trait The second one is that I got an Astro Starstorm in nightmare campaign reconnexus (which later became the elementless voids vigil), but wasn't able to get one in campaign survival, even when trying with weapons that are elementful by default...

I'm a fool

I was trying to get the Zenon Convergence achievement, but really struggling. Not only did I have to cancel a bunch of runs due to accidentally acquiring a mega ability or item, but I was also dying a lot. It was taking me hours. This is hard, I thought to myself. - Mineire enemy: The exploding Emeralt variant that doesn't move now ignores the Knockback trait (as it looked weird).

- Status Screen - Gear: The button to change Stash Page was the same as used to Salvage an item or change a Weapon's Element via Atom.
- Orbilas Kindle class: It could be offered the Aggressive Kindle passive item.
- Eggcellent Eggy class: When randomising your weapon it was ignoring the Chemistry Traitum.
- Ethereal Eternal class: Its unlock text was wrongly saying it could only be unlocked in Rogue Convergence.
- Occultist Drone: If a Boss was within its aura then it would keep creating the smoke effect.
- Cursed Shard ability: If a Boss was within its aura then it would keep creating the smoke effect.
- Store Restockments passive item: When re-stocking a weapon it was ignoring the Chemistry Traitum.
- Mineire enemy: In Emeralt sectors the hazard version could sometimes not be the exploding variant.

There are things I enjoy about this game, it's fast paced, bite sized gameplay which you can play in-between short breaks. The pixel art is pretty good, the enemy variation is humongous, the music isn't bad either but it gets repetitive.

There's a ton of characters, weapons, drones, abilities, upgrades, and achievements to unlock which feel quite satisfying. You have plenty of game modes, daily/weekly challenges, and even a Final Fantasy 8/9 style card game.

What doesn't work in my opinion is that the game is overly chaotic, overwhelming, and cluttered. There's a ton of text and information popping up on the screen at once, the overly juvenile equipment information makes it harder to parse and detracts from the overall experience (especially if you're not a native English speaker).

Boneraiser minions did the "Vampire Survivor" style gameplay better, it was also more organized and packed into a neat package. You always knew what all your minions did, what you had to do to upgrade them, and how to progress with unlocking new content. Here on the other hand you just roll with it and figure it out as you stumble along, it honestly doesn't feel as satisfying as it could've been.

I enjoy this game even with its faults, I certainly enjoy it far more than Vampire Survivors but it's not nearly as good as Boneraiser Minions. It just needs to better explain what you're doing, what you're progressing towards, and how to combine your upgrades into better upgrades.

One thing is for sure, caiys is a beast at responding to community issues, fixing bugs, adding accessibility settings, as well as post-release content. They should be highly praised for that.
