Can I finally get a refund?
How would one go about that?

"One of the longest running controversies for both Valve and Steam is finally dead! As of today, Steam users can contact the "help.steampowered com" support page to receive full refunds for purchased games and downloadable content; so long as the title was purchased within the past two weeks and has been played for less than two hours. Even if a purchased game or piece of downloadable content falls outside of these parameters, the Steam Refunds page promises Valve will "take a look" regardless. Movies and Gifts are currently not supported by Steam Refunds."

Guess you can always make a ticket and see if the "take a look" category works out for you.

I'm just wondering if the people whose games wont work after the Arena update can get a refund or not.

Thanks a lot, I've never made a ticket or contacted support so I'm not sure how to go about it.

They made it really easy now, just go to "Help" in the upper left hand corner and then click "Steam Support" on the drop down menu.
I am pretty sure you have to have under or maximum 3hrs game time to qualify for a refund.
im not sure if its still the case, but you use to be able to get a refund on the grounds that you your computer couldnt run the game because the specs didnt meet the system requirements, but this was a 1 time thing steam did basically saying ok fair enough you made a mistake, but if you do it again youre a dumbass and bad luck ( which is fair)

but asking for a refund because you simply didnt enjoy it, well you go to the movies and ask for a refund halfway through

God, I hope so. Such poop for $60.

haha, my 1st thought on the Steam refund news was this game.
Came too late for me.

But I can tell you T2/2K is dead to me.

Oh yeah, this is my last 2K game unless they do something to redeem themselves in my eyes. The fact that I can send them a ticket about a game that doesn't run after an update then get completely ignored is such a joke.

And this is coming from someone that still buys Ubisoft and EA games. At least Ubisoft and EAs support responds to you.

I can't imagine how baddly this is going to screw over 2k, Beyond Earth and Evolve where two of the biggest "WHERES MY REFUND!?!?" spammers I've ever seen

If you read it says you have to have bought the game in the past 2 weeks, and played for less than 2 hours. So it's really only for people that buy a game, and can't run it at all for whatever reason. Not for those that play it for 80+ hours then whine it's a terrible game, and they want a refund like some people on this board lol

Exactly.
Reading is too difficult, and spamming forums with "Refund refund!" is too easy.

You're entitled to take a bite of your meal, say it's cold and demand a replacement/refund.
You are not entitled to eat your whole meal, clean the plate and then say 'too salty, so I don't have to pay now'

No one has said otherwise though? Also did you check the OPs account? He only has 3 hours. The age of the purchase would be the issue, but one could argue that he would've got a refund in 2 weeks if the refund policy existed when Evolve launched. How much Steam support would care is another thing entirely, I personally doubt he would see a refund in this situation.

with 3,5 hours playtime definitely NOT! you should have known before that time! and why did you wait until now to consider one? refunds are given for less than 60 minutes afaik.

Are you trolling? Steam literally changed how refunds work today... as said in the first first reply to this thread.
