me too please help

Control Panel > Programs -> Programs and Features (or uninstall a program).

Click evolve and uninstall. If that doesn't work then something must be odd.

I haven't tried uninstalling yet though.

Yes i tried but game suddenly vanished from my library (probably because alpha is over) so what do i do when that happens?:pandastunned:

The Windows uninstall simply removes the game from windows program list, but the game folder with 14GB still remains.

Some have suggested doing it via the browser steam protocol:
steam://uninstall/273350

But it isn't working for me either...

Hope steam fixes this quickly.

Do what Kuroodo said but go further and manually delete the game folder instead of uninstalling it.

Computer > Local Disk C or what have you > Program Files > Steam > steamapps > common > evolve > right click delete > enjoy your new 14 GBs

If you are having difficulty finding your Steam install directory to delete Evolve, then try this.

-Find a game in your Steam library
-Right-click and then click on "Properties"
-Go to the "Local Files" tab
-Click "Browse Local Files..."
-Go up one directory to the "Common" folder
-This is where you can search for the "Evolve" folder to delete

Hope this helps, See you in the Country:yikes:

Nobody is having trouble finding directory.
And game isn't in library.

Good to see that you found my advice soo useful!

Seriously though, common sense. I said "Find a game." I didn't say find Evolve. Read please before you try to sass me with choppy English.

Its good to know that you are the omnipotent god of the internet. Can you tell me where I left the $20? Is it in my old pair of pants? Don't speak for other people. This thread was created for helping people to delete their Evolve installation because Steam just keeps the data. So try to have some useful information when you post next please.

Just delete the Evolve folder from steamapps\common. I have removed a ton of games from Steam this way over the years, and never had any problem reinstalling them later. 99% of the games content does install there. If not all. If anything else remains, it's in like your Documents are %appdata% paths. And is just configuration data which is probably a few megabytes or soemthing at most.

Actually there is also a small ACF file in SteamApps directory, but size of files on disk is not the point.
It's ridiculous and unacceptable that user is forced to remove the game this way, instead of proper uninstall.

i think it's just messed up that they remove the option for an easy uninstall (not that deleting the file isn't easy enugh for most tech savy people) but i think it's just some sort of mistake on there part. regardless it's going off now and a new game is going on.
