What does trigger griffin's sound spike?
I know that a monster running trigger it, but what else?
Monster attacking? Evolving? Eating? what else?

As far as I know any non-stealth movement or ability inside a 50m radius. But I understand that there'll be a very small radius around the spike where you can trigger it while sneaking as well.

I believe its just movement when its near the soundspike but in the upcoming patch Griffins soundspikes are going to react differently, namely if the Monster is stealthing around it within 15 meters the soundspike will detect the Monster.

The other things you mentioned im unsure of.

If the monster farts you will get a ping on the spike..... :demoticon:
From what I understand, the sound spike has a 50m radius. Anytime the monster uses a traversal ability in it, or walks in it, it'll ping on the sound spike. HOWEVER, if the monster is sneaking, the sound spike will NOT pick up the monster.

However, this is going to be changing in the upcoming balance patch to make Griffin more useful. The sound spikes will pick up a sneaking monster, but ONLY within 15m of the spike. So a monster can still 'technically' sneak by a spike, but if it does get too close and doesn't know a spike is nearby, then it'll ping.

A monster evolving also triggers it.

Glad they at least realize it needs buffing. Though that wont help a whole lot as the monster can still see the spike when they sniff. They will just avoid it no different from avoiding birds.

I've been hiding mine in bushes. seems to work.

When they sniff it the thing will glow red the same as a flock of birds. So no hiding it wont work. I will say thuough that if you couldn't see the spikes with sniff this new 15m radius buff would be perfect, and would make Griffin actually good. Hopefully they realize that at some point.
Actually...ya I wondered that....I can understand the Hunters glowing red since they're living, but the sound spikes aren't...so how can a monster sniff a none living object? Then again the wildlife tries to eat Bucket anyway, so I digress. If they did make sound spikes unsniffable, they'd have to do the same for any deployables, from Bucket's turrets, markov's mines, etc.
