Chance to win as a level 1 monster

This evening i wanted to play some evacuation.
sat down, logged in and got ready to hunt (or be hunted)

Now, i am not a good player.
i don't see myself as a bad player, but i am far from good.
Now, the total evacuation took about 20 - 30 minutes to play.
Every single round, the group of hunters, was attacked as soon as the round started (boots on the ground, and you can see the monster running towards you)

We were annihilated.

Every single round was a golliath, except for defense where it was a kraken.
But we honestly did not stand a chance.
All dead in less then 3 minutes.

When i asked in chat if this was normal (i don't know, maybe the level got seriously increased in the last day) i got a response that it could be that the monster had chosen damage reduction, or that it is hard when a monster focusses on you ( i was assault, no brainer hunter tbh).

Now, i don't mind losing (i do that most of the time really), but i like having a fight.

Fun thing is that with the app of the game, you can save your replays,so i did.
The monster just come straight for us, looks at the plane leaving, walks towards us, and kills us.
He didn't even have full shields(50%) and by the time we're all dead, he has 75% life left.

Is it really that easy for a level 1 monster to kill 4 hunters?
If so, i really have to step up my game (i always lose as the monster ;) )

hi there here is another not so good player :) loosing a lot (also) .. but normaly not from a lvl 1 monster. i do get better each time i play although i can't play as much as some people do.

It's very possible with Kraken, as long as you fly a lot, and slap points into your lilghtning strikes, since it hits like a truck. I've never fared too well as the Goliath at level 1 myself.

I'm pretty sure I just said I don't do as well with a level 1 Goliath as I can with the Kraken.

Just so we're aware, it's not easy for him to win that quick...if you properly spread out, and your support and healer are worth anything, you should win that every time

well, just to put everything a bit into perspective.
Up untill now, i think as a hunter, i did win about 70 to 80 percent of the games (especially defence, that scenario is not really fair to the monster, tbh). And i'm level 15(i think?).

Played for a bit more then 11 hours or so.

also the medic appearantly was rank 75 ish on world ranking or somesuch (that's what he said). as lazarus. So it's not like we sucked (please don't let it be that we sucked so hard, although if it was, i'll just accept that), and the other people seemed competent to say the least.

they had every character unlocked at least.

it didn't seem like a level 1 monster.
Level 3, yeah, but not a level 1.

And that's why, if it truely was a level 1, i'don't think we could ever win against a level 2, nor even concider a level 3.
And i don't think i could ever get to that level.

And that's the weird thing.

Goliath does not have enough burst to kill you guys at lvl 1, down one or two guys? Possible with full armor but he should lose some health in return for that. I mean in order to lose such little life he had to kill the assault first, but you can't really kill the assault first as monster. What is Goliath supposed to do while standing on the dead assaults corpse with a Lazarus on the enemey team that is constantly shooting him from miles away? He can't eat that corpse while he is getting shot.

In theory the hunters just have to circle him, and keep shooting while he stands ontop of the dead body to prevent Lazarus from ressing. Once Goliath moves Laza res the dead player = endless loop.

Tl;dr: he outplayed you guys, if he managed to beat you he ate a corpse, but in a 3v1 scenario this is not possible unless you ignore him. I mean just think about it for a second ;)

You can't kill Lazarus if he plays smart at lvl1.

It was probably just a 3 star elite goliath with a 3 star perk that knew what they were doing plus you guys being bad. You dont only need individual skill against a good monster you've got to work together like a swiss clock I dont care what your rank is. In the first alpha most rounds Id just go eat to gain some armor then immediately engage with my elite goliath and either get an easy wipe or get atleast one kill and several downs before retreating.

lazarus is easy to deal with because everyone plays it so predictably

Down hunter
Focus hunter till death
Act like your gonna camp body
"Give up" and go focus the rest of the hunters
Wait 30 secs then leap smash the corpse that now has an invisible laz hovering over it
Charge him away from the group
Then sneak attack for ultimate humiliation

I have pulled this off twice, Once as Goliath and once as kraken on Nest mode, If i feel the hunters are pretty good from the previous match and the bonus i would could get in the next match would benefit me alot then yea i will dump all three points in Lightning or Body slam and spawn a minion at round start and then just run to the hunter spawn point and lay into them.

I've only been sucessfull twice out of 5 times i tried doing it though so its a bit of luck on who i kill first in the opening engagement.

My golliath strat.

1) chose him
2) Max rock throw
3) take damage reduction
4) evolve to level 2
5) max the one next to rock throw.. the jumping slam one...
Wreck them.
6) If i need to, or manage to get to level 3, 2 into the charge 1 into the fire breath.
wreck them more.

had a game a few minutes ago, where i got to stage 3 in 5 minutes and absolutly wrecked them, but the power relay bugged out after i destroyed it, and the hunters just dwindled me down after that.
