Will Evolve be CROSS-PLATFORM?

Anyone got any idea if Evolve multiplayer will be cross-platform?
Meaning i could play from my pc with my friend who plays it on xbox one/ps4 ?

I hope there wont be one. Not unless they give pc players aim assist when they give it to controller players

Unfortunately, I don't think we'll see any sort of cross-platform FPS in the near future. According to a project done by Microsoft, PC gamers "destroyed" the console gamers. The keyboard and mouse is far superior to the game controller, putting those on console at a major disadvantage.

This game is only for Xbox One, PS4 and PC only it will not be on the 360 or the PS3

Microsoft will never allow cross-platform multiplayer (except when they tried to charge PC gamers for online gaming, lolol) because then you'd get people who pay their microsoft cancer prescriptions playing with people on steam who don't have to pay $60 a year for cancer treatments and they would realize that the grass is greener on the other side of the fence.

Cross platforming doesn't work for a few reasons:

1: Console users will have perks like aim assist, resulting in very flawed gameplay whereas PC gamers have the advantage of a mouse, and lets be honest, its WAY easier to aim good with a mouse as opposed to a PS/Xbox controller.. so there is the first problem.

2. Different networks, which would require some complex stitching together in order to actually work.

3. there is probably more.. so i'll reserve this.

very true the big hurdle and always asked question that is cross platform gaming is really a difficult one that I don't see happening unless the game is something where a controller vs your standard keyboard and mouse setup are on an equal playing field.. esp games such as evolve where aiming is going to be a big factor the obvious choice setup of k/b is going to possibly outplay the console "peasant" race controller mode team. This is not to say that k/b users always beat out controllers.. nay there are some really good controller users out there esp a lot from the old halo and cod days..where they can spot and snipe out an enemy player much faster than a keyboard and mouse user... but still the handicap/disability gap remains and to make sure everyone is on a levelling playing field there most likely won't be any cross platform support across consoles and pc's at least unless the community really really wants it lol

as for console vs console cross platform gaming.. i don't really see why not. i'm sure they can work out a way for the two networks to coincide together and facilitate platform vs platform gaming hell they may and could even start a new e-sports community/gaming centre where by the whole premise is for Console Platform 1 VS Console Platform 2.. obviously there are/is only one arena set for that in/at this present time with that being Sony's Playstation VS Microsoft's XBox

Cross platform would just be unfair to the controller users as there is no way they could keep up with the pc players. Maybe if they did hunters on pc and monsters on xbox as controlling monster with a xbox controller would be okay but never let them play hunters with PC players.

I say have an option to play vs console players and call it Peasants vs Masters Mode.

There was once a multiplatform shooter. Shadowrun. It was when WIndows Vista arrived with directx10. The game did run only with dx10 to to force winxp user to buy the new Vista. To even things up pc players had a handicap in the shooting.
As you can guess. This game was not succesfull
