Trapper: griffen. he can basically cover a large portion of the map with sensors and his harpoon gun can get very irritating.
Medic: rogue Val. the chain med gun can heal an entire team and her personal heal can completely heal her from low health to full health. and the poison darts are pretty good.
(honorable mention goes to lazarus because if a skilled player has him he can keep his team at maximum health while dealing good damage multipliers to the monster)
Assault: Lennox. the plasma lance can do monstrorous (pun intended) amounts of damage to a monster and help distract the monster from focusing on a medic. and she takes much less knockback effects.
Support: this is the tricky one. all supports are overall pretty much good. it all depends on the monster. although if i had to pick one, sunny. the jetpack booster on a trapper can catch the monster early game.
Monster: wraith or gorgon. because they have broken abilities that do far too much damage. i'd recommend behemoth. because i love him.
but of course this is all just my personal opinion.
let me give my opinions and why those choices
Trapper - NORMAL MAGGIE - she is the best because of daisy, she gives a bit of movement speed if near and she can totally sneak ressurect people and help save the day, plus maggie got the harpoon trap, and that is actually the best weapon for getting a monster stuck in one place, even if only for a short while, since you can hit him with 2 or 3 harpoons at once. with the introductions of planetry scan, the trapper "tracking" skill is less and less needed or useful, so daisy is one of the best for that skill slot.
Support - HANK, be it normal or tech support - the thing about hank is that he can keep up shields during a fight. other supports like sunny, bucket or kara can try to keep the shields up but usually can't keep up with hank. Sunny can put out a mini hank turret, but if the monster hits that, shields are down, bucket can only try to double dip on the class skill, but still kinda low and kara is up with no shield just a get me away from the monster teleport. In combat, especially against stronger level 3 monsters, hank is the one that helps the most.
Assault - MARKOV, either normal or blitz one, the thing about him is that he can get around without using reload speed by just swapping, his mines are amazingly strong (if you can bait the monster into stepping on that) and his lightning gun is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ crazy strong and easy to aim. Other assaults got better damage output in theory, but markov advantage is his easy aim, it pretty much ends up with markov doing more damage because he hits more often.
Medic - this is the place where everything goes bad - 3 choices here, actually
The best one - ROGUE VAL - totally best healer because aura + chain gun = pretty nice area healing to keep friends up and self heal gives extra survivability. Problem is that she is a bread and butter kind of healer, heal the team, keep them alive, no fancy tactics to screw the monster up - in the end she is best against more experienced monsters and with normal teams.
Second best one - LAZARUS - this guy is CRAZY good, but at the same time he is a dead weight. Lazarus glove revival thing is the most amazing screw up tactics in the game, since the monster needs to corpse hog and them eat the corpse if he wants to garantee that he killed someone, but the problem is that if lazarus is down, all that goes bad. more experienced monsters will know that you are lazarus and will kill you first or not let you near the bodies, paying a LOT of attention to you, this makes lazarus the best choice against more noob monsters and people that doesn't pay much attention.
Third best - EMET - this is the troll pick, while other medics have a hard time dealing with strikes, emet just don't give a damn. you got 2 strikes and died again ? no problem, emet can respawn you back. the problem is that, just like lazarus, if emet is down, this is all gone and it's back to vanilla strategy. Emet is a nice choice if your team can go 3 vs monster and just let the monster outside the dome.
*edit* forgot about monster
Best monster right now is probably GORGON - while wraith was really really op in the recent past, his hp is even smaller now, meaning that while wraith is still really strong, he is also very very squishy.
GORGON - this spider is NOT VERY EASY TO PLAY, but if you can play her well, she can wreck the enemy team quite easily, the first thing is to not rely (and if possible not even invest) on mimic - it looks nice on paper and was very nice for sneaky tactics, but now? now it sucks.
Spider girl needs to combo her abilities to actually kill the enemies, remember that skills 1,2 and 3 are DoTs. Try and combo 1 and 3 to increase your damage output, also, don't forget that 2 (the baby spider) can totally be used for taking people out of the fight, rather than damage - something like "assault used defense matrix" or "medic is going to ress incapacitated hunter" can be easily countered by a baby spider and moving to a priority target. allways use all 3 of those abilities.
you can finish fights with pounces and you can do charged wall pounces to do a nice amount of damage but don't rely on that anymore, without sneak being a good strategy in this game anymore, pounce lost half of it's utility - don't pounce mid fight or if you know other hunters are near.
