weakest: behemoth. it takes a skilled player not to get caught near the start but if they do evolve they can steamroll an entire team in the most litteral sense.
next: Goliath: overall a good all around monster but there are better.
Only good because they are made of cheese: by which i mean they have BS attacks, Meteor Goliath with the insane amount of DOTs and Gorgon because of acid breath and spider traps
Kraken and elder Kraken: are about the same overall, pretty good stuff.
Most powerful : wraith. if a skilled player is a wraith they can win at stage 1, which is a hard thing to do. at stage 3 the DPS is so large it can get very powerful.
but of course this is all my personal opinion.
and you were saying that Goliath and Meteor Goliath are the weakest only because thats usually what monster noobs get first. so you have inexperienced players as a very powerful character
5- goliath
4- behemot
3- Kraken
2- Gorgon
1- wraith
There is always someone using a monster who activates the GOD mode and is unbeatable.
But notice that most of the time a hunter doesn't do his job and thats pretty bad, also there are hunters bettwr than other for each monster.
I played quite a few games as Goliath, and now unlocked wraith - I choose damage reduction and armor percentage boosts as perks and start feeding right away, getting as far from the drop area as possible.
If I see hunters nearby I throw them the decoy in their general direction and quickly switch directions while still feeding
More often than not, I find myself fighting as Wraith on stage 1, as hunters are more aggressive against a squishier target
When domed, sneak in the terrain and try to spot the medic, and when they come close enough, abduct the medic and supernova to tear as much HP as possible - while spamming out decoys
Once you down 1-2 hunters, hide away until you see attempted revivals or them kiting you
If you lock down someone, use supernova - decoy is great for killing wildlife, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ with the enemy trackers and great additional damage during a fight, the first ability, that blast thing - I only use if they are all at moderatly low health and bunch up in one place, such as 2-3 downed hunters
Also, you can use your first ability as an additional leap in case you need to get away, despite the delay before you BOOM - that plus 3 jumps guarantees to put some distance on you and hunters
Scariest situation is them having you always in their sights and you not being able to evolve - they will tick off your hp in a matter of seconds, that is why at stage one I'd rather down 1-2 people and run away and feast on some prey, while as Goliath stage one is my favorite, as I don't bother with the rock smash (makes me stationairy and vulnrable) and just charge in, smash from the air and breath fair as much as possible
imo, target hunters in the following order
priority from first to last
Medic
Support
Trapper
Assault
you can distinguish their classes by the color of their name
Simply jump onto high terrain and use the leap ability to get distance, use perks that speed up your movement and feeding and don't sneak kill wildlife in general - I find him vulnrable at stage 3 if ticked hard enough, stage one being easy and stage two goliath being the easiest to play - not leveling up the rock throw at all grants me constant movement, and I can charge and breath fire at hunters, and when anyone tries to get up a downed teammate, simply leap onto the area and cancel the revive
Thanks for the tip. If you jump, does it leave marks on the ground ? Can I start the game by jumping/dashing as far as possible or do I have to crouch and walk away slowly ?
I don't concern myself with marks much, unless a planet scanner is on or hunters are near, then I start sneaking around to see where they try to intercept me and switch direction sneaking then leaping again, just to avoid that 100m mark on the floor
It's the birds that scare me the most so I "smell" often to make sure I don't scare off a flock andd give away my devious plans
Top - bottom (win:lose against):
Meteor (it wins a lot)
Wraith 1:1 we got losing one to 3 bars though
Kraken 2:0
Goliath win more often than lose to them
Gorgon don't see them much
Elder/Behemoth idk, never fought one
