What's the difference between normal and ice behemoth?
Haven't tried the ice one and was wondering if they play differently.

Behemoth is more about bursting people down with his massive dmg combos, Glacial Bob is more about making hunters suffer soft/hard cc continuously while dealing sustain damage. Glacial Bob is really weak when you're against good hunters, but I find glacial Bob is more fun than Bob
The biggest different is probarly Glacial Bob depends on Basic attacks more than Lava Bob, since his 4th is a basic attack passive, it's like a short range attack, pretty interesting skill.
Glacial Bob desperately needs buff, but since the game is now not getting development anymore we have to accept his current state and move on.

I hope you realize youre talking to one of the top players in this games history, who has literally played on one of the best teams this game has ever seen

Just say'n.

Edit, durp- As to the OP:

Ice behemoth is different in numerous ways for numerous reasons.

His living fortress passive works in reverse to normal behemoths. He actually starts with full DR, and the longer he stays in combat the more DR he loses- Slowly regaining it over time. "Breaking the ice", so to speak. It gives some interesting ambush possibilities, and if the hunters make a mistake early on he can get some pretty nice "low punishment" strikes- But he really lacks any "staying" powerful compared to regular behemoth.

As mentioned above- Hes got even more area control than Regular behemoth- But his downfalls are, IMO, that he lacks a lot of target focus and burst potential.

One of the biggest issues for me is his version of tongue grab- Its more of a spear. It knocks bag (BIG TIME), and pins the target to any terrain they might land in to. Sounds neat in theory- Pin that pesky assault as youre doing your thing- Get down to business. Problem is you just used 1 of your 4 abilities- leaving you only 3 for who youre focusing. 2 of those abilities, lack any real "burst"- Which makes matters even trickier.

You can of course use the spear to pin your focus target, but easier said than done against a competent team of hunters. The spear has MASSIVE knock back- Which coincidentally tends to more often than not, push your focus target *away* from you. Not necessarily something you want. If you get the right angle you can pin then down in an ideal spot, buuut doing this against competent hunters who know how to use terrain to stay ABOVE you so they get knocked up and away from you (if it hits at all, as they merely need to step back behind the terrain to break LoS), and this is easier said than done.

His fissure ability is cool, basically gives you long range-super charged melees. But again, no "burst", and IMO burst is the biggest overall king in this game. It gives hunters less time to react. If you have an ability that does 400 damage ever 4 seconds, versus one that does 100 every 1 second, id take the burst any day. A hunter with <400 hp goes down instantly with the burst. With the 100 dps'er, youre looking at 4 seconds to down them. 4 seconds to get heals. To get shields. To break LoS. 4 seconds to be punished by the assault or tripped up by the trapper. On and on. You get the idea.

Now hes a FUN monster, and if played right- can riggity wrek "pubs" all day long. Definitely not the most competitively / high end "viable", but fun- Which is what they were going for. So take it with a grain of salt.

I can play him fine. One takes a ♥♥♥♥ ton of damage, doesn't have any "heavy hitting" abilities on top of them easily dodgeable. Not to mention Behemoth probably has the potential to be counter comped harder than any other monster. The other soaks even more damage deals even less damage and has the same potential to be counter comped, possibly even more. It's not rare to see good players juke bobsicle for multiple minutes with some of the tankier characters. (something that should never ever happen)

Glacial behemoth is arguably one of the weakest overall monsters in the game at a high level / amongst former competitive players

You shoudn't be using Health Regen perk to begin with. It's broken and only weak/desperate monster players use it.

i dont agree that you shouldnt be using this perk. i have seen monsters that could really benefit using it. i think its a good choice for new players, even if it makes them last a bit longer in a fight so they gain more skill. the sad thing is, im seeing players who dont need it using it all the time, with both bobs ffs. thats just retarded when they have 500+ hours,i just avoided them now. in other words i dont mind it being used just not abused.

if they hadnt stopped working on this it would have made a great timed perk, once you reach a time on playing a monster it goes. that would have given new players a bit of a break and they wouldnt get flamed if they won being a new player.

Take it with a grain of salt- These guys were my friends to me so it wasnt a big deal and I didnt take a lot of pictures or anything, but the DDs were the most common ones- Back in Legacy I used to fill in during practice scrims and hangout frequently with them when practicing against their monster player, Aurora Symphony, or various others- From Source, to Deanimate, Fresh, etc.

We often played together during Stage 2 as well

Also played with other NdG members, Ryke and Conjugates (back when he used to playe monster a lot) were the most common ones-

Was also playing often with Steamers- Such as Stealth Shampoo

I was also pretty close with numerous members of the Staff. Mizx and Skills in particular. I was playing with Stealth, Mizx, and others during the "final nights" of evolve when it was announced that development was finishing up with other TRS members- Including a few from the Balance team (Even managing to beat out Insane on frost behemoth with everyone. A sad and fun night all in one swing).

Ive also been a part of community instructional videos with the Devs show casing basic tips-
