dev needs to simplify or remove the customer system entirely. it makes the effort of selling sword basically down to pure luck. im making weapons designed for the preferences of specific npcs such a Monster hunters for ex. and they refuse to buy the giant killer i made that is at very least in the budget, what do i get from these customers? "i don't want it." "it's not for me" it's TOO expensive.."

dawg... these npcs have at minimum according to the book 2000 copper, the weapon im trying to sell to them that IS the preferred weapon and is priced at 1100 coppers and they WILL NOT take it. i will have these npcs come into my shop day in and day out and trash talk MY Giant Killer.

but here's the even weirder part, peasants that have like 1000 coppers are snapping up my silver swords like their secretly from nobility and the soldiers snapped up my Giant killer with a budget of 2000 - 3000 coppers despite their preferred weapons being one handed swords? ya' know the ones the the peasants are buying?

im following the instructions of the guide book to a the letter and im going no where in the game, im trying to cater to customer needs, im trying to make a variety of weapons and nothing is working, nothing is selling and Renophel and the fat ugly landlady want thier money.

customer system needs serious overhauling, it's the reason why and if you even manage to get to the endgame this game turns into a medieval sports betting simulator where you gear up slaves and bet in the Arena because the system of trying to cater to the customers is SO bad. ironically you make more money that way.

the story and dialougue could be better, i've heard that theirs fail states with the linear quests of how one wrong move and it's game over for you sometimes when you least expect it wasting hours of progress... im still early in the game so I don't think I have encountered anything like that just yet but i may be wrong given i need to come up with 40k copper and im failing miserably at it because the customers are just so goddanmed pretentious.

EDIT: also would be cool to have a 'free' of 'endless' mode I think that would be a great addition to the game.

The story is quite railroady and poorly translated into english. The weapon creation is cool but the progression is pretty slow.

This game has so many ideas I think could be neat, but I never made it to where I'd get to enjoy it. I had the most fun in the tutorial where I got to interact and enjoy the mechanics, the blacksmithing stuff and lathing and everything is actually really cool so whoever built that loves those things.

Mining was a chore, and could've been fun if I had some sort of easier way to manage what I picked up or buckets to store it or whatever. Instead I put up to 3 ore into a chest on a cart that teleported back to my base and that was the limit of the giant chest? I liked the hitting rocks bit and that was dopamine inducing at least, lots of empty ones though.

Performance was a NIGHTMARE. I literally hit 4 FPS in my shop without adding anything to it, just at the start. I have a very good computer so there was a memory leak or something somewhere. I returned after mining to try to start smelting and it was a disaster that was literally unplayable with no way around it. Changing settings didn't fix anything. This happened to me three distinct times (out of four.)

The dialogue isn't quirky or fun, its terrible, just absolutely bad. Its vulgar in the wrong ways, there's child slaves for your employees, the characters all talk crass in a not fun but just 12 year old's idea of what edgy characters might sound like. Just ditch all existing dialogue and rewrite the whole game and characters, please its so bad and not "so bad its fun" just bad. There's also so many options where you just get killed outright? After spending forever getting through the prologue I finally just skipped it to start playing the game itself without getting the cringy dialogue and random kills.
