With this hotfix, we are now setting the customer class-based sales system — which we introduced in version 1.6.0 — to be disabled by default.

Our initial goal with this feature was to reward blacksmiths who produce different types of weapons and to provide an incentive for doing so. However, we realized that especially in the early stages of the game, this system proved to be quite challenging. Many of our new — and even some veteran — players expressed dissatisfaction with it. That’s why we are making this feature optional with this update. With this adjustment, customer purchases will now be determined solely by the sale chance.

We sincerely thank all the players who gave us feedback and alerted us to this issue.

That said, players who do enjoy this more demanding sales system and prefer a game experience that emphasizes management alongside simulation can still enable the feature. Just go to the Settings menu and activate the Picky Customers setting!

Alongside this change, we’ve made a few other small tweaks in the game, which you can find below. Thanks again to everyone who reported these issues!

• The “Stop Hammering” label on the assembly desk has been replaced with a more descriptive message.
• Cursor color changed from green to yellow.
• General scene lighting has been improved.
• The cutting area for the large chisel on the lathe has been improved.
• Some localization updates for German, Spanish, and Japanese languages. (Thank you to everyone who reported translation issues!)
• Fixed some lighting issues in the blacksmith shop.

We’re excited to announce that Medieval Blacksmith has officially left Early Access and is now in full release!

It’s been almost a year since we launched the very first version of the game. During this time, we’ve met many talented blacksmiths. With your ideas burning bright like a forge, your feedback blowing like bellows, your bug reports sharpening the experience like grindstones, and your powerful critiques striking like hammers — you’ve all contributed to crafting this game step by step. We’re deeply grateful for the inspiration, support, and feedback you’ve given us along the way!

To be honest, our initial plan was to create a shorter experience — maybe 7–8 hours. But thanks to your feedback, the world of the game gradually expanded, the systems became deeper, and eventually, Medieval Blacksmith became something that makes us truly happy — and honestly, it still surprises us how far it's come. We know that without the support, guidance, and inspiration from our players on both our Discord channel and Steam, we wouldn’t have been able to complete this journey. We sincerely thank you once again for all the support you've given us.


In this update, we’ve brought the version we stabilized on the Test Branch into the main release.
