Game not launching

Hello, I cannot launch the game no matter what I do. I click on Play, then it turns blue and says the game is launched. After that the screen flashes black for a brief moment, then the game immediately closes and the Play button reverts to its original state.

I've tried clearing cache, uninstalling the game, verifying game integrity, even updating windows, nothing works.

The worst part is that the DEMO of the game works fine but not the full game...

Any help please?

Looks like they just released a patch to fix this. Something about the filepath being weird.

I'm still having this problem after the patch. I have no idea how to fix it :( Has anyone found a fix?

I had this behavior on both Card en Ciel and Flamefrit recently and I fixed it by just constantly uninstalling and reinstalling in different drives, alternating back and forth, until it finally stuck.

I've installed the demo and it's not starting too. How can I even think to buy the full game if the demo doesn't work?

I pretty much gave up on playing it on PC and played it on Steam Deck instead, but I just tried installing on a different drive and it works now, thanks!

Respectfully, that's not a fix. That's the devs releasing something broken and not doing a damn thing about it. This game has no business being sold if even getting it to run is a case of "just keep trying, you might get lucky eventually."

You are correct that it is not a fix. It is the most absurd fix I have ever seen in many years of gaming, which means the cause must be TOTAL nonsense. I am very, very glad I am not being paid to diagnose what problem could possibly ever lead to a program behaving like that.

But it has worked for me reliably on those two games and also Gal Guardians 2.

More than fair. I'm certainly not holding this against you or anything, I'm just annoyed. At least I can play it on the Deck, but I'd rather play at my desk most of the time.
