Pumpkin Woods

Regarding the cover art for the game (not a troll)
Hey, before I say this, I just want to make it clear that I mean absolutely no disrespect whatsoever here.

I think your game seems really interesting and I'm genuinely interested in playing it as I love the concept and the game itself looks cool. When it officially releases I will definitely be giving a playthrough.

But I do want to say that I think the artwork you are using for the game may cause some issues for you in regards to advertising as (and again, I mean no disrespect) it looks a little misleading stylistically? I know it's AI generated and you can't fully control how it comes out but it makes the game look more like a "Hidden object" puzzle game and admittedly 'cheap' (for lack of a better word, not sure how to describe it) like a misleading mobile game. I think most people who look at it without knowing what your game is about would admittedly skip over it.

I'm not just referring to the big booba lady that everyone comments on, but just the composition and style in general. Though I do understand why it may look a bit sexual focused to people due to the way the outfit is with the chest. A lot of cheaply made games try and do that type of marketing with their cover art.

Which I think is a shame, because actually watching the videos and screenshots you've posted make it seem like such a neat game with a cool dark yet cosy vibe about it that I truly think could grab attention.

I think if you had something that conveyed a more mystical atmosphere with the forest environment and general tone of the game, it would match the gameplay more and draw more people towards it (you could still have the witch in it, for example, but maybe showcase the house or foraging element more so it conveys what the genre is).

Anyway, obviously you don't need to take this advice if you're happy with it, but I figured it was worth mentioning since based on what I've seen, it's perhaps the only thing that's putting people off the game and it's something I can easily see being an obstacle when it's finally published in regards to sales.

Hello and thank you for the extensive feedback. Indeed, there was a lot more thought put into the game itself than the capsule image. We understand it can heavenly impact the first impression so we'll try to redesign it to better fit the game before it's released.
