Can't get past Character Creation Screen

No matter what button I press on XBOX controller, no matter what key I press on Keyboard, I cannot get past the character creation screen. I've pressed every single button and key on Xbox and keyboard, respectively.
I remember reading about this game years ago, and was quite interested in the story. Would love to get to play it only if I could get past the CCS.

Did you try removing your controller? Sometimes they don't play well with poorly coded games.

go on the settings and deaktivate steam input for this game and get to your controller in the game settings then it works

Sorry I'm so late getting back to this. Yeah I eventually got it working. I don'r remember what I did but it started working. Thanks.
