jack ability, Warp Dash or Scatter Bomb, its esotery attack?
Yeah, would've been extremely nice to know what is considered an esotery attack and what isn't.
Is attacking with a weapon that deals non-physical damage considered an esotery attack? Does using "Infuse weapon" to change weapon damage type make an attack with that weapon an esotery attack?

I don't think attacking with infused weapons is considered one.
It is probably considered a regular attack but does that elemental/mental damage type. The elemental/mental damage types are resisted by resistance the physical damage should be resisted by armor.

unfortunately, no weapon boosted bonuses esotery attack. just skills.
Based on the tabletop game - esoteries are a specific "class" feature of Nanos, though I believe Jacks can also gain access to them (although whether that got brought over from the tabletop, I couldn't say).

So from this list of Tier 1 abilities I just found; Nano abilities like Onslaught, Innervate, Adaptation, and Quantum Step. Callistege's Onslaught and Dimensional Superposition abilities are also both Esoteries.

I haven't played in ages so I don't know if it's listed anywhere on the abilities' tooltips, but either way Esoteries are specific abilities used almost exclusively by Nanos. A weapon with infused effects or the like isn't an Esotery. So an "Esotery Attack" would be "a Nano class ability that is a damage-dealing spell."

Jack warp dash 100% esotery attack in game.
There was something else(bomb?), but one warp was enough for me to kill everything

And since it seems that physical attacks are kid of weak and lame in the game, its boring playing a glave character. artifacts, bonded items, etc can easily be found that give esotery boosts, some to a HIGH degree in both base boost plus boost per effort. You won't find that with weapons so early game to end game, weapons don't really scale in damage based on the mechanics.

My nano can out shoot and out damage any glave character i make up its laughable. Throw on 2 bonded arfifacts that give +2 esotery damage per effort or something and you can 1 shot kill most things in any battle. Plus you have AOE attacks for grouped enemies, a couple solo abilities, no glave even comes close its laughable.

Glaves in the game really are just tanks, you can't really make up an offensive powerhouse glave due to game mechanics on physical attacks. When my nano was 1 shooting enemies just yawning and sitting in the back, its a huge seperation of power. Especially the guides that say ignore might mostly even on glaves and work on speed/etc. lol laughable that they didn't make might do more damage in weapon attacks.. oh if you reach 100% thats the max.. what? Oh all this equipment im throwing on, bonus to esotery damage.. mmm wheres the boosts to physical damage im not using esotery attacks im a glave. . poor you.
