Anyone manage to open the pyramid/sphere puzzle?
The one in the Order of Truth?

I'm stumped. I'm pretty sure the faces you move the sphere through modify a value on scale, but I have no idea what order the colors are map to the scale! I can't figure this thing out!

Okay here is how:

The sides left, right, bottom etc have two states each associated with a colour and intensity. Work out which comes first and last. If you have translated the inscription it describes colour beginning and colour ending. Work out the spectrum order between the two colours.

I figured that out, but I do not understand where all of these colors fit ot a "scale." Indigo? There's also two violets.

Hint you need to repeat a step to make it work, the scale is ROYGBIV (remember it like this Richard Of York Gave Battle In Vain at least that is how I was taught it ;) Hope that helps

So I'm trying to solve the same puzzle, but I cannot seem to find any type of green other than cool green, which doesn't appear to be the correct one. Thanks for the hints, by the way.

Wolfgang don't worry about the intensity of the colours, thats a bit of a red herring. Just go through the spectrum one colour to the next colour

Nevermind, I completely misunderstood how the puzzle worked. When I stepped back and redid it, it worked perfectly. Thanks for the help Ruinous.

The solution...
3/4/6/5/5/6/2
IEatCereal Jun 14, 2016 @ 10:40am
this also works:
2/3/5/4/4/5/1
as ruinous said the intensity of the colour isn't important

The Beads of Time Neverending, an ornament slot item, can be obtained from the pyramid shaped object in the NW side by going progressively down the visible spectrum: left (remove:lurid red), front (replace:bright orange), right (remove:dull orange), right(replace:blazing orange), bottom(remove:shining yellow), back (replace:cool green), back(remove:brilliant blue), bottom(replace:indigo), front(remove:deep violet), left(replace:deep violet)

I didn't discover this, BTW, but it's a better item than the one your path leads to

Oh, so it's possible to get something different?
Blind Gardener Jan 3, 2017 @ 1:00am
What you get depends on if you pay attention to intensity or not. If you don't pay attention to intensity you get the jagged something, which is a cypher. If you do pay attention to intensity you get an artifact which lets you cast inervate repeatedly per day

You can actually get both rewards if you do it, once with just colors, then once with colors and intensity.

Can anyone actually explain why is the solution posted here the solution for the puzzle. I can not get any sense of it.

Description:
The crimson down greets the seeker. The violet dusk sees the search's end.

All I see here is red and violet.
How do you figure out steps in between?
How do you figure out how many steps are in the between?

Can anyone make any sense of this puzzle?

Oh wait... This is the rainbow ordering? Right? Starts with red ends with violet?

Are there a lot of "puzzles" In this game?

Just got solution using rainbow ordering with all 10 colors used. Took me some time to figure out order of 3 orange and two violet colors.
