Nano and Concentration

I've read that the general recommendation when playing a Nano is to not invest any points into concentration because they get a bunch of free points throughout the game.

Does this still apply to Nano's with the intelligent descriptor? (-1 concentration), or will I still need to put a point into it to cap it off?

You can go from inability (-1) to novice (the base untrained level, where I think you'd be right now) to Trained, Specialized, Specialized+, and finally (iirc) Specialized++. You get two free boosts at tiers 1 (putting you at novice) and 4 as a nano, and there's at least one permanent boost from an item in the Bloom, I believe.

The thing is while you've got room for more points, you don't necessarily need them. Concentration checks are relatively rare, and you can pass them by spending your Intellect pool, or with items.
