Major inconsistencies in Russian translation

I hope the developers will see this thread.
First of all, thank you guys for all your effort, you're doing some really amazing job! Can't express how much I (and not only I) appreciate what you've been doing through the last couple of years.
Still, a tender touch of perfectionsm is in order when it comes to localization.

As happy as I am about the fact that the Russian language is finally available with the latest patch, I have to say the translation could certainly be better. There's a lot of small stuff here and there that just looks either way too precise or clumsy overall. Punctuation marks are occasionally missing. Some sentences should be rearranged, otherwise they just sound unnatural. There's also a number of actual translation mistakes. E.g. after you enter Circus Minor with Aligern, he says you might have had a taste of Callistege after "a short trial". In Russian "trial" is translated as "суд", which actually is a "trial"... in court. Not exactly the original meaning here I would say. It would be better to put it like: "Хотя, думаю, у тебя уже сложилось представление за это короткое время". Also, just a tip, if you want to keep Callistege name pronounciation right in Russian, it should be written as "КаллистИж", not "КаллистЕж". Now it sounds more like CallistAge actually if you say it.

It's just a vibe of many many little things that come together as a pretty rushed translation.

I had some experience in the field and I'm a native Russian speaker, so I know what I'm saying. At this moment all the text in the game, specifically conversations, needs to be revised.

A small addendum. I can see a lot of 'carker' word used here and there. This is a pretty fancy one and from what I found on the web, it means something like "a troublemaker" or "someone annoying, a brat". In Russian however it's translated as "кэркер". There's simply no such word in Russian. It means nothing. So, my question is, did I find a proper meaning of this word or is it a lore-specific term in the game that shouldn't actually be translated?

More sweet stuff from Aligern dialogue. He talks about Callistege: "Я хотел найти хоть какое-нибудь утешение, а она... возможно, самоутверждение". You can't FIND self-esteem in Russian, it's just not right. In this case it should be verb, not a noun. Something like: "а она... самоутверждалась, видимо". This is way more natural.

It's just one of many examples, you can find more even in this one dialogue.

Now some from Tybir. He's talking about his mercenary life and thinking he should've quit earlier "pay or no pay". I presume it means whether he would be paid or not. In Russian, though, the line is "заплатив или нет", which means exactly the opposite - it implies he's the one who was supposed to pay.

Also, sometimes sentences from the mind scanning imply that the speaker is of a different sex than he actually is. E.g. the women in the crowd near the execution site are thinking as if they were male. Predicates in Russian when put into a certain form directly indicate the gender of the subject.

Later Ris refers to Tybir as "b a s t a r d", which is translated as "б а с т а р д". This word in Russian is not a curse, but a term that means "illegitimate son of a royalty". The curse would be "у б л ю д о к". While in English it's the same thing, in Russian they are completely different words.

У меня нет доступа к бете, но судя по тому, что я увидел на youtube, они перевели Cypher как "Микросхема(ы)", или как то так. Vp.resonance, вы можете подтвердить? Увидел это я в диалоге с первым шаром (воспоминание), сразу после Чаши в самом начале игры.

Не, в нынешней версии переведено как "шифр". Это ещё норм. Хотя, наверное, не совсем отражает суть, но что уж там. И без того косяков хватает. Я уже молчу про то, что ни в одной локализованной игре не сподобились написать адекватный красивый шрифт для кириллицы. Вечно каким-то уродским ариалом пользуются.

Сейвы от старых версий, ессно, работать не будут. А вот если свежесохранённые не грузятся - это баг и надо создавать тему (если её ещё нет).

Аутсорс такой аутсорс. А так, зато, всякие дурачки ныть не будут, что русского нет, как было с Shadowrun: Hong Kong - всё ныли и ныли, что игру не станут покупать, мол потому, что разрабы их не уважают, раз не потратили часть бюджета на перевод. Посмотрим, сейчас-то купят, или найдут ещё о чём поныть

Судя по всему это обращение к разработчикам можно использовать в качестве аккамулятора разного рода неточностей перевода, так что время от времени буду скидывать все что посчитаю ошибкой перевода.

Самое начало, комната с разбитой капсулой.

Манипуляторы вокруг разбитой капсулы переведны как "ручки"... "Пятая ручка поломана".

Специалисты подтянулись! Не лень бесплатно заниматься "исправлениями"? В том огрызке игры, что есть сейчас, текст перевед машинным способом с легкой редактурой в районе диалогов. К выходу причешут, там работы на пару недель, если будет сидеть один редактор-переводчик. В любом случае, перевод будет лучше того, который был сделан Фаргусом для оригинальной игры.

Вряд ли перевод будут особо править сейчас. Думаю, текст игры был готов уже довольно давно, и никаких особых изменений на этом фронте не предвидится. Сейчас разрабы, скорее всего, просто фиксят всевозможные баги, коих явно дофига, чтобы не вышло ещё одного Wasteland'а.
