http://www.gamerevolution.com/features/a-guide-to-making-rhin-useful-in-torment-tides-of-numenera-bad
This writeup on gamerevolution provides a nice, quick how to, but it does contain some minor spoilers, not story related If I recall.
Lol I suspected she can be awesome stealth bomber as soon as I saw she got cypher use...
So, save your most destructive AOE and single-target cyphers, level her up and load her up.
-- healing
-- cyphers
-- random checks between rests.
-- could be used for movement related tasks (though I didn't have her with the drones/Order of Truth thing and would find that a bit risky because of AoE -- doable with hiding I imagine).
-- ranged weapons / light/ with buffs from my 2 jacks not great but OK finisher -- during a certain mirror gank, she didn't die.
I often just have her hide and pull her out when needed which isn't often. If you're more combat centric I'd say the first two items would be the more useful.
Since I didn't have a mage I started speccing her that way too with mystic lore etc.
Upd: It's the interface that is broken, not the ring
She doesn't have much health, so I wouldn't give her a melee weapon. But with my other 3 party members beating on people up close, Rynn does pretty good at range with her gun. She's landed the killing blow on two slavers with it so far. Also helped me kill the nychthermion monster (or whatever it's called)
Obviously don't give her a might weapon. She won't be able to use it very well.
I'm looking at her as a project. By the end of the game I want her to be able to kill things all by herself. I told her she would have a better chance of surviving if she came with me, and I meant it.
You can give her to the slaver, cut her loose, or you can find her a home. If you dismiss her from the party, you cannot regain her like the others.
I met her in the Bloom (after trying to return her to the slavers but being honest about it) when I talked to her it was just a blank page I could only exit out of.. quite disappointing.
Damn, now I wish I cloud play as her instead of that ugly female PC ;(
Nicely done!
