thats only true if this is indeed an issue on their end (and even then it may be some edge case they did not realise.
I would suggest you go to their forums and file a bug report otherwise there may be a bad awakening on the 28th

this actually sounds like an issue on your end. You probably have a lot of packet loss for some reason which leads to steam failing the crc-check. I suggest you check the firewall and router settings. If you use WLAN or have occasional connectivity issues/lagspikes i would suggest trying a cable and see if that does something for you.
it may also be a good idea to check if other games are affected as well. First try to download any other game ( a small one preferably) if there is no issue check the validation.

you could also try installing the game from scratch (eg. deleting local files.)
There may be some issue with your administrative settings regarding the deletion/rewriting of files.
otherwise i would point you to the inxile forums but it definitely sounds more steam related.
