Why isn't this game free?

The game was free when it was a demo almost over 10 years ago now, this new version is not the same game at all and has different game modes. While the game isn't spectacular to look at its a masterpiece in its own sense being completely unique to itself. I'd rather not have the community be wrecked by making it F2P. It's great the way it is and I'd rather not have the project be abandoned more than it already is because absolutely no money is being put towards it.

For someone who owns 88 games over a period of seven years, you type way beyond your own actions.

Now, how would you counter the argument if it's also stated by someone that buys half the amount of games you own, on a monthly basis?

If the game was cheaper I would convince my friends to also buy it, we were tired of most party games or coop stuff anyway so this would give us a fun way of doing 12 player matches (which is not fun in most games). I already tried sub rosa a few years ago when it was available to play in some website I don't remember and it was real good even with it's basic game assets.
