Not running on Mac
I can't get the game to run for more than a split second on Mac. I'm running on OS Big Sur (11.5.2) and an M1 chip with 8gb or ram, should meet the minimum requirements.

I've tried re-installing, opening it directly from the game file, and restarting my computer. Launching the game in compatibility mode makes no difference. The game icon will appear in my dashboard, and the game will flash on the screen for half a second, but I immediately get a pop-up that it quit unexpectedly. There's an option to reopen the game from this window, which results in a "File not found" message. I'm not sure if this is happening because of an issue around porting the game to Mac? I never had an issue with the first game running on this computer.

Part of the error report if that helps:

I'm also encountering the same results, I'm currently on 11.7.10 with a mid 2014 Pro model with a 2.5GHz Intel chip.

Hi, thanks for reporting this - sorry you've been unable to run it so far. I will get all these details to our team so they can investigate.

I'm having the same problem, using 11.4 OS Big Sur and an M1 with 8gb, also in both modes.

It looks like the game was updated when I opened Steam 5 minutes ago, and now it's working!

Oddly, when the update started I had to go to my Macbook's System Settings > Privacy and Security > App Management and allow Steam to update files. I thought that Steam was already allowed to do that, so I was surprised I had to turn it on. I'd recommend checking that setting and making sure Steam has permission to update files on your computer.

Is there any update on this? We're well into January :\

Hey!

Unfortunately, we're still looking into this. This seems to be a deeper Godot engine issue and so far we haven't been able to nail the cause.
Any chance you'll be able to fix this soon? Really want to play the game. Am on 11.7.10.
